Season VIII runs from February 1st to March 31st, server time. Any games by an ARR team will count, regardless of if you are in the group or join halfway through or whatever.
Fundraising details and FUMBBL dice winnARR to be announced here soonish. In the meantime, don't forget to vote in the poll and/ARR post your comments here. |

Here is the number of games played since the scheduler change last of a bit more than a year ago. You can find more data from koadah's excellent work here.
Current ARR races: Slann, High Elf, Underworld, Vampire, Pro Elf, Goblin, Ogre or Halfling.
Code: |
Chaos 8049
Chaos Dwarf 5801
Nurgle 5286
Human 4894
Dwarf 4845
Orc 4376
Necromantic 3831
Undead 3730
Skaven 3113
Lizardmen 3059
Chaos Pact 2795
Khemri 2615
Norse 2484
Dark Elf 2482
Wood Elf 2194
High Elf 1636 ARR
Underworld 1607 ARR
Amazon 1306
Elf 1230 ARR
Ogre 1217 ARR
Goblin 1159 ARR
Vampire 1148 ARR
Slann 1108 ARR
Halfling 947 ARR |
EDIT: It is interesting to note that Chaos has 8,049 games played in a bit more than a year and all of the ARR teams combined total 10,052. And that's with all of ARR hard work and KenThis on a 3 month long break. If Brasky hadn't been playing lots of ARR (and played WMDs each of those games), and Duke had been playing Chaos instead of ~500 games of Nurgle this past year Chaos might have had more games than all of the ARR races combined! |

No way for zons, such a dumb roster. There might be a case for including the rest of the elves, unless it crosses some kind of an invisible boundary with ELF. Then again, what use we pirates have for borders |

For comparison, before the scheduler change, Chaos had 40,470 games and ARR races totaled 43,483. That means Chaos teams were played 93% as often as one of the ARR races back then, whereas now they are played about 80% as often. Go us! Though as the table above shows, things are still a *wee bit* lopsided.
For comparison, here is what things looked like up to the scheduler change:
Code: |
Chaos 40470
Chaos Dwarf 31892
Orc 25755
Nurgle 24669
Dwarf 24068
Chaos Pact 21531
Necromantic 20651
Human 18991
Dark Elf 15830
Norse 15806
Skaven 15473
Undead 15389
Lizardmen 14869
Wood Elf 14072
Khemri 11823
Amazon 11438
Slann 6853 ARR
High Elf 6808 ARR
Underworld 6685 ARR
Vampire 6288 ARR
Elf 5946 ARR
Goblin 4120 ARR
Ogre 3919 ARR
Halfling 2864 ARR |
So when we created ARR, it was really easy to just pick all those races that were played an order of magnitude less than everyone else! Now things are a bit more muddled. The poll is just to get an idea of what others think about changing/not changing the races. And be like Stonetroll and chime in with your preferences! |

I think we should keep it at 8 races...so if you include another race we should kick one out.
However, I would be against kicking out high elves to add in amazons...that seems...wrong.
So - keep it how it is would be my vote. |

Currently that is the direction the wind is blowing. And even some of the yes votes probably are just open to talking about it but wouldn't want to see many of the possible changes. It just isn't clear what we'd change that would be better than the current setup. Breaking it open to the bottom half and taking 12 teams is an option. But mostly I just want to take the pulse of the crew. |

Greetings comARRades,
Almost two weeks into the season and we already have a heavy favorite for the title.
Timetis' Rain Wild is leading the race with a 53 point sprint, hoping to become the first Pro Elf champions.
Only team close to pose a threat is the usual suspects, two-times Champions kingvan's New Vamps on the Blood who sit at 41 points but can improve their score. And let's not forget their epic come from behind win with a second sprint in Season 5.
One can never be sure with these guys, just ask okostomi
In the stunty race, my own FeARR the BombardiARR and MastARR Chefs are fighting for top spot, a replay of their Season 5 battle that resulted in Goblin and Fling racial sprint records and a win for the Flings.
In the ARR Brawls, we already have a new BrawlARR champ, Sammler_der_Seelen's Cult of NomNom (Underworld) won BBB CLXXVIII, well done mate!
Also, a Fling final for BBB CLXXVII is coming up:

Those who enjoyed the epic first Fling BBB final, come along, it's scheduled for 18.00 tomorrow.

Ooh! Almost forgot!
Has there ever been a more fun CoS qualifier than the Goblins - Khemri one?
cARRy on comARRades! |

It needs a nice button, much as the whole group page needs some ARRtistic love. It's the "Leaderboard" link in red at the bottom, which takes you here. |
