I really hope I can lose the rest of my games so I don't have to go up to Prem. |

Actually, no Grumpsh. I would like to get promoted.
Just a concern that Murphy's Law is in full focus when a Poods coached team is in action!!

FLESH a-ah
Savior of the Universe
FLESH a-ah
He'll save every one of us
FLESH a-ah
He's a miracle
He guards for every one of us
Stands firm every one of us
He pows with a mighty hand
Every man, every woman
Every stunty, with a mighty
FLESH
FLESH a-ah
King of the impossible
Just a man
With a man's flesh bits
You know he's
Nothing but a man
And he can never fail
No one but the pure at heart
May find the Golden Grail
So yeah Flesh Gordon pulled of a 5 point play to. Blitzing a hob to his KNEES scooping up the ball one handed and performing 2 deadly gfi's to win the game. |

The most interesting conference soon has a HEROES game coming up, and can I just say go Mexican Standoff! Purely selfish reasons of course. |

SWL GRANDSTAND
Mid-Season Wrap-up
Welcome to another episode of SWL GRANDSTAND! I'm your host, Ricky de Beauneaux, and this is the SWL Season LX mid-season wrap.
Premiership
With 4 rounds done and dusted, we have a clear division between the "probably gonna stay-uppers" and the "we're gettin outta here's." Newcomer Grumpsh has hit his straps with a solid crew of unlifers scoring an easy 2 wins, and managing to avoid ANY team injuries for 3 games; the Skink are right up there as usual, and are thus far the only team to put a halt to the Error 404 steamtrain. LHC seem to have found some momentum again, smashing their Mania counterparts 3-1; they'll be a solid contender for the title if they can get up over the Skink in round 5. Erickan seems to be keeping the Intoxicated lads afloat, but it's looking ever-more-unlikely that we'll see them in the top division next season. The Elves were always going to struggle this season, but there are moments of brilliance that suggest the Wings of the Condor at least will be back in prem before too long. At this stage, the title could swing three-ways, with Grumpsh, Faulcon and Barre all in contention.
Butchrangers Conf
The conf of the bash has played out much as the bookies called it before season kickoff: the Fun Police are the only ones having any fun, whilst Dazed is looking to be a solid possibility to unforlorn Orcs for SWL - some would argue that the team may not be quite ready for a prem push just yet, however. The biggest shock in this division is the performance of the Whalekillers. It seems long-distance coaching is not working out as well as planned, and the 4-time Prem winners are wallowing at the bottom of the table with perennial whipping boys Psych Lab. PSA and the Horrors will be hoping for some decent matchups in the final three games - sadly I feel that only PSA will get them, with the Horrors facing off against PSA in the final round after having to endure the Fun.
Blackwater Sting Conf
After 4 rounds, this conf looks to be a 3 horse race; while the Rodents had taken an early lead, the Warriors and Sentinels have both overcome a loss apiece to make 1st place a 3 way tie. The Sphinxes round out the top of the table on 9 points, having made up for their shock 1st round loss with solid showings against the Wanderers and Asha'maniac. Asha'maniac are the big question-mark in this division - with plenty of elves to dwarf-handle, and a very solid looking roster, how are they not screaming away with all the points? Time will tell if they can make the last three rounds count, but it's very uphill from here. The Standoff and and Wanderers are taking drubbings on the score and casualty boards, but the Standoff at least look to be in decent shape. ramchops Trees will finish strong, but at this stage they look out of contention...
**STOP PRESS** An early round 5 matchup between the Sphinxes and the Rodents has the bookkeepers racing to adjust odds, with the Sphinxes driving home a win blowing the division wide open!
Harlequins of Despair Conf
The Sotek lads have made it clear they only intend to be in the Conferences for a season before making another tilt at the Premiership windmill. Meanwhile, the Blockers have squandered last seasons momentum with an early loss to fan favourite lizards the Crocs, and are looking like they'll spend at least another season in confs - no 3-season blitz for coach Tomay this time! The Cavaliers round out the top 4, and it's anyone guess from here who will join coach Tyra in the big time next season - but it probably won't be the Blockers...
Toonie, usually far more comfortable in the clothes (or lack thereof) of a Norse coach, seems to have worked out how to make Dark Elves work to an extent. While they are yet to notch up a win this season, solid draws against tough teams may presage a bright future in the Shade. Shock names on the bottom of the ladder are the Edamame lasses and Fynmores Bull Frogs - both teams were solid contenders last season, but have struggled to find any form in the first four rounds.
Martha the Stout Regional
Coach tribal has a new team and a new plan, and looks set to take the Jesters onto greatness, while the Greenstars are finally working like a team. The Gee-whiz Club made an early impression but have failed to capitalise on their carnage. An early drop saw some Underworlders sneak into the comp, prompting a drool-fest from their scheduled opponents - thus far however, the Stone-Stealers have left their opponents with nary a morsel...or any stone, apparently.
At the bottom of the table, it seems Easy Mode is still too hard, while the Heralds have shown only a moment of greatness in honour of their anti-god.
May be a Price to Pay Regional
The wildcard division has thrown up yet another solid Nurgle team in the Misery - DustBunny has stamped his intentions clearly on the scoreboard, and will be one to watch next season. The Stag norsemen have finally got it together and look set to finish strong, while the Lovers and the Sinners are heavy contenders with 2 wins each. Also with 2 wins are the Ogrepaid crew, who are stunning their fans, opponents, and probably their coach with some highly effective moments of lucidity. The same cannot be said for the unfortunate Rocketvamps, who are yet to nab a 5 pt game this season.
Well, that's it from us here at the Grandstand office. Be sure to catch us next week for a special report: Wizards in Bloodbowl - Useful Tools, or Just Plain Bollocks? That one brought to you by guest reporter Ziggy Stardust. Thanks for listening, and don't forget your fouling shoes! Ricky de Beauneaux, signing off. |

It's funny to think that nearly everybody (myself included) think my conference is a two horse race at the moment, even though PSA are only 1 point behind and still undefeated. It goes to show that just looking at points totals don't really convey everything |

Well at the end of round 4 you were still only on 1 win, so a little further away from the top 2, but yeah. Points aren't EVERYthing... just most of it |
