This guy rolled +ST for his second skill after I gave him Wrestle for his first.
Obviously I'd rather he had Block, and I know some coaches avoid Wrestle entirely just to avoid this exact situation. But given I did not, now how would more experienced delf coaches build him, assuming he continues to survive/skill up? |

Leap/Dodge//Stripball/Tackle to make him a sacker
Dodge/sidestep/fend to make him a roadblock
I think those're your best options. |

I think Wrestle may be better than block on a ST4 linelf because you can make him a sacker. e.g.
ST, Wrestle, Dodge, Leap, Strip Ball, Tackle |

Diving tackle
EDIT: oh, thought he had +ST already...
then I'd go:
dodge
diving tackle
sidestep |

I love ST4 Diving Tacklers but the combo with Wrestle is pretty bad (even though both skills have a good synergy with JU). |

I like this progression, though I'd pick tackle sooner. As you advance, tackle will remain useful, while you'll find more surehanded-ballcarriers. Leap is nice. |

Would have taken block.
Would have taken guard over +ST.
Since you didn't, dodge is obvious next.
Tackle fits the sacker role, although he lacks the speed to excel at it. |

Don't worry too much.. my +STR wood elf lineman got a -STR injury two games later. I'm sure Nuffle has similar plans with your guy |

The first I understand. The second - why, particularly on a team with max base ST3? Are you that concerned about giving up the extra 20TV? |

It's a rule of 5 thing, you're better off not asking.
But sure, while W doesn't feel as sexy on this guy it's not so terrible. Take strip next, or tackle, then add leap.
Dodge can wait, he ain't really ever going to be that mobile, and you probably have other players who will draw the blitzes.
The real issue would become if he rolls a double next, because MB on a ST4 elf is almost impossible to pass up, but with W, MB loses some of it's impact. Guard is still fine, W/G isn't terrible since you're not usually using them to gum things up, just to provide the assist on your turn. |

I once had a +ST Wrestle Lino on a High Elf team. I was going to develope him into a Sacker but as it turned out, in game I usually needed him to do some heavy lifting and in close games against strong / bashy opponents I never got around to spoon-feeding him SPP so he died before his next skill.
With that in mind I would skip Dodge and go stright for Leap, then Strip Ball. |

I'd go the sacker route, but I'd take leap next, as you have a 1/3 or 1/2 chance to get the ball out for each die already. With 2 dice this is pretty decent. |
