Just a question to ya all. Do u follow other OBBA teams in terms of team development, team fluff, player vita and games? Or just the next team before? Your division or also multi division? Or dont you care about that? Just play what comes, the rest dont care?

I like to keep an eye on other teams, especially ones I have played regularly and fellow Nurglers.

I watch most of the Prem replays and also the Championship title race near the end of the season. If someone has taken the time to put some fluff in I'll normally peruse the team bio.

I kinda miss the fluffy reports from last season, although the summaries were growing to epic proportions at the end. Could be nice for a halfway round up from each div.

Maybe we could also let each coach nominate a noteworthy TDS/Sacks/Kills/Fouls of each round (like goal of the month)? You could have an expert panel that votes and the winners of each round go towards "Goal of the Season".

Well nobody posting ... I will start with older rounds games ...

Season 24 - League 1 - Round 1

Hajduk kicks and Lizapool is attacking with some first bashes and an unsuccessful Saurus pick. Our first round was very fast finished by GFI snakes, giving the Lizapool great opportunity to reposition and preasure the HE defence.

Instead of regrouping in the backfield, suddenly the players were very active at the sideline bashes resulting in few outs and more muscels on the lizard side.
At round 4 only 6 HE left at the pitch and not a real possiblity to put preasure at the ball, but suddely there was small chance by a -2d stripball blitz. A push result sufficent, but unfortunatly the scatter was in favor of the Reds and just bad dice could have stopped the Lizards. 0:1

2nd half we start and Aljosa was tricked by a witch brew. So ball handling without the 5 times Golden Glove. Getting under preasure, but still highly motivated Alen Boksic took over the resposibility. Just to be again seperated and left alone due to snake GFI.

The first feeling came up that this game will end as a fiasco! But a true leader shows up when you need him as Aljosa did. Dodging, ball handling and passing for TD of Boksic. 1:1 But just to early. Still 4 round for Skink & Co. to run for a win!

The hope for preasure value, bad balling and picking for Lizzies was faded fast after the catched high kick result. But still there was good chance of stopping the run and we did it. Almost.

Trying to reposition snake dodges turnovers our last turn and in consequence the opponents winnig TD. 1:2.

A well played and deserved win.

League 1 - Season 24 - Round 2

Old rivals, old fun with pleanty of free gold coins for us. We kick and CD attacking. We diced having a long deep kick near by the sideline and dismoblizing the sure hand hobgo with a brew card. Dirty Trick baby!

During the first bashy rounds both teams were pushy and with a crowd push, naturel speed and agility we got controll over the ball. Yes, also an interception of Tomislav Ivic finalized the first domination. 1:0

Well maybe a bit to fast scored, but we need some TD. Still a planty of to time run the RedStar's decided to run down the left wing. Greased "Hoofes" brougt us the big point turnover and combined with a stripball a great drive stop! HALFTIME our turn!

It strated with pefect defense, but this forced us to rebuild ourfont line. Druing the first turns we used our speed and agility and scored at our 5th round. 2:0

Hellgrades Bulls drop down the line, but the catcher armada lead by Alen Boksic and his strip ball put preasure at the ball. So the CD were forced to a passing game which fumbbeled.

Aljosa, the 5 times GOLDEN GLOVES winner, showed and proved his skill throwing for additional TD his 4th completition and Sime Raundig scored for the end. 3:0

Second game a win and the first 3 points.

Season 24 - League 1 - Round 3

The set-up like last season. The winner of Leauge 2 and we the runner up. Last year the human had a good tactic and spoiled a block after block.

This season we wanted to start different, but a opening blitz event gave us immedeatly pressure. Reorganizing we tried to break through south side of the pitch, but we weren't very good in preparing this breakthrough. The ball carrier was left almost alone and even Alen Bokšic was just saved by APO from death. Vigo's start catcher Orellana played quite impressive and aggressive. Only Aljoša Asanovic's outperformance saved us and the TD. A way to fast, but forced by Celta. 1:0

3 rounds left and Celta started great with a quick snap and a touchback. Left w/o RR and a doubble skull turnover opened Alen Bokšic the chances to sack Orellana and stop the drive. Unfortunatly the last "free" round gave the Humans the opportunty to kill and seriously injure two of us. Second half and down by 3 players.

Second half, again touchback and the humans start to cage down the field. Move down the clock. Let us come, than a tie is better than a loss. Correct, but elven magic could change everything. So very fast another line was killed and we were down by 4, but we try to prepare our chance.

And there it was. 3 Dodges, 1D blitz POW... YEAH ... a chance, but f..k we have already moved the player who could have saved everything ... so there is still a great chance ... and they maid the well deserved TD. 1:1

We had chance, but we didn't used it and gaved away to many blocks! Our stroke, L/W/D, 4 points and the mid of table! Thats not good, but we could do better, next game we have to win.

Season 24 - League 1 - Round 4

Looking for promtion this round has to be win. Under very sunny conditions Underhacking started the game and tried to stall.

Basically this was well done, but we had a wizzard and we used it early! It opend the door and blitz freed the ball and after some positioning of both teams Aljoša Asanovic take the over the lead together with Dragan Holcer. Nevertheless a tactical mistake brought the ball back to Undehackingen! Instead a run game we decided to hand over the ball. A big mistake than even elven magic didn't help vs. skull. Bad played and given TD to opponent. 0:1

Second half we start by 3 player down and short kick. But again Aljoša Asanovic got controll over the ball. Using our quickness and agility we moved from left to central and back to left. But beeing under preassure we were forced to score to early. 1:1

Still having a planty of time we hoped for some bad ball handling and RR burning, but a catched high kick event disolved this hope. Bad screening vs AG4 gave us twice the chance to blitz the ball carrier, but w/o effect. Again the Bavarians wasn't stoppable. 1:2

Again a loss, giving us only few chances for beeing promoted this season. Far away from that there is still afair chance to be relegated.

Season 24 - League 1 - Round 6

Well, usually nobody likes to play such a game. We have choosen a dirty trick and got some boots. Which is one of the less good trick cards. We kick. Cardiff attack.

And then it started. After the first 10 blocks we had 3 serious injured and 1 KO. During the 1st half we had 3 double skulls and not enough "elven magic" ready. When ever we needed some luck, we missed it. A clear 0:1.

Second half we had to take risks as we were still down by 4 players. Again there were not that many lucky moments on our side. the conclusion was the touchdown 2 and 3 for the Crusaders.

Never had a chance, but tried!

Another OBBA legend makes the history books...

Ross Jenkins III reached 176spp's from 81 games, 31 TD's, 17 casualties and 9 MVPs, and 1 completion Smile

He's one of a pair of Bull Centaurs that have more often than not been the star of the Wotfud Hornhits, and may be the difference between staying in the Premiership and relegation.

Love him or hate him, you have to admire the doubles... +Ag, Dodge, Sidestepping snorting beast...

Once there upon a time there was a mighty pond. In this pond lived a group of frogs. These altogether ordinary frogs went about their froggy lives hopping here, eating flies there, spawning... well everywhere.

One day a woman came rushing headlong into the clearing surrounding their pond. She had a glittering crown on her head. She could be heard saying, "where will I find a team to represent my queendom (well kingdoms are a bit sexist) atsuch short notice."

It made the frogs sad to see the queen so upset and so they began to sing a frog song.

"Less of that!" the queen yelled imperiously. "If you want to be useful get over here and give me a snog."

In turn eleven of the finest frogs came to kiss the queen, one with a bit more tongue action than she really wanted, but hey ho beggars can't be choosers. Each grew to be the size of a man with intellects to match, in that most ofthem went in for another snog before being royally pushed away.

"You are to represent me in the upcoming tournament. Go my Queens Pond Rangers!"
