CD,
I don't think I did every year, but since I started I did the vast majority. If a player popped up one season but didn't appear in any others, then (s)he'd be unlikely to make the final 16 anyway, so I don't intend to go back through any seasons I missed or CRP games prior to the first All Stars team I made.
I suppose this does detract a little from the thoroughness of the project, but I feel we need to balance the time it will take against the time I have to give.
Basically it will be about me applying the same seasonal progress to a group of players from my all time all-stars list and using their career numbers, their reputations, a mix of races and play styles, a little of my own judgement, some tea leaves, the alignment of the planets and phrenology to determine a final 16.
It should be a process which allows some debate. That is (I hope) part of its charm. |

Was there an All-Star team every season?
If not, will there be retrospective awards? |
Not before CRP and there should not be.
We did have a probowl competition where each conference would put a team together of their best stars and play each other with temp rosters in the old client. Too much organising in the end so it died though. |
I remember those games! I think I coached one. |

I know with all the excitement in Prem that this is what you were all waiting for!!!
My review of how well I was able to forecast my regional run.
Round 1 vs Griffon Gate Sentinels – High Elf 1600TV – cdwat
Prediction 1-2 loss
Actual 0-5 loss
What can I say. I didn't get the boot in and they are a good team. Well done on winning this reggies comp.
Round 2 vs White Fluffy Stuff – Undead 1720 TV – Polemarch
Prediction 2-1 win.
Actual 1-2 loss.
I just couldn't get ahead in this game.
Round 3 vs Prancing Unicorns – Orc 1620TV – Keothi
Prediction 1-2 loss and lots of dead skaven and gobbos.
Actual 2-0 win and only one dead rat.
I can't believe I didn't lose against these monsters. I don't even know how I didn't get smashed off the park.
Round 4 vs Macabre Morticians – Undead 1260TV – tribalsinner
Prediction 2-1 win if I still have a team. 0-2 loss if I am rebuilding again.
Actual 1-2 loss, but I wasn't rebuilding.
I got out played. I thought my team of mutant dodging gobbos would win, but I have a lot to learn.
Round 5 vs Black as Death – Human 1380TV – Drakeular
Prediction 3-2 win if my TTM works.
Actual 2-1 win.
Not as high scoring as I thought it would be and a lot less use of HMP and diving catch than I was expecting.
Round 6 vs Fatality101 – Chaos dwarf 1250TV – Geoffro
Prediction 0-2 loss.
Actual 2-0 win.
I thought they would hit harder, but somehow I managed to do more damage than them. There was a lot of luck on my side and a few poor choices from the other coach that allowed me to sneak through with a win.
Round 7 vs Shiny Beast of Thought – Amazon 1270TV – CaptainSmiithheart
Prediction 1-1 draw.
Actual 2-1 win.
I lost the CAS war but won the game. Not quite sure how I did it but it was good to get a win.
Ladder Predictions:
1/ White FluffyStuff.
2/ Prancing Unicorns.
3/ Griffon Gate Sentinels.
4/ Colour of Money.
Well Griffongate ended up in the top 4
Wooden spoon predictions
Either my own Southern Warpstone Scavengers or Drakeulars’ Black as Death.
Actual (leaving aside Nemesis Demons who withdrew from the comp) Prancing Unicorns. I don't know how. I thought they would come second. |

Personally, I think the Pearls should be reserved for the stat freaks blessed by Nuffle. An Ag4 skink is indeed a wonderful thing, but that's just one Nuffle blessing, it doesn't even have block.
My picks:
3pts Ubirr III (2 big stats and a double)
2pts Blue Suede Shoes (2 big stats)
1pt Flesh (2 small stats and a double) |

Foul Frank was a fine black pearl, and if they go on more normal players that are just specially effective for whatever reason, the rest of us do get a better chance to kill one of them now and then.
Obviously if they're very effective and also a rare sort of stat freak, that's much worse to play against, and that sort get my votes. |

They are bounties for players you don't want to face ramchop. If stats are what make you decide this, then by all means make your picks based on that. I make my votes based on game impact (Ubirr still gets a look in on that basis). |

This . For me it's all the game changers.
PS - Black Pearl only for Kill? Not for forced retirement? |
