Hello everyone, my Wrestle Tackle catcher is about hit his 3rd skill. Im debating on what to get him if he rolls a normal. I want to get him dodge so he can get away and take out his target more reliably but I am also considering getting leap to break into cages easier. I am shying away from strip ball as most teams keep the ball in their sure hands player until they attempt to score
Team:
Blitzer 1 Dodge, Diving Tackle, Tackle
Blitzer 2 Dodge, +AG, +MA, Leap
Catcher 1 Guard, Block, +AG
Catcher 2 Block, Dodge, Guard
Catcher 3 Block, Dodge, Side Step
Catcher 4 Wrestle, Tackle
Thrower 1 Accurate, Safe Throw
Thrower 2 Kick
2 Lineman Wrestle |

Strip ball is pretty nice and alot of elf teams dont run Sure hands. Have you considered Dauntless?. Is he S t2? |

No he is str 3. The only other elf team in the league actually gave his catcher sure hands to move it up the field |

Dodge is the better choice, leap is fine but he needs to survive too, and since you have wrestle, dodge and sidestep is both good choices for long term, if you plan short term then take leap. |

You have enough people rolling single die leap. If you're taking dodge, take it everywhere, here included. Strip isn't bad, but it's situational. You'll always find dodge useful. |

Leap if you want to get as much as you can out of him the next few games. Dodge if you want him to survive. |

Don't take dodge.
If someone is wanting to mark you, then why wouldn't they use the tackle player to do so? Since you want to stop sackers, you would mark your Wrestle catcher ahead of the others. (or maybe they will try to stop the guys with Guard).
Leap is a little risky... Go Jump up, sack from 8 squares. I don't think you can get enough Guard around to make Frenzy work. |

Dodge, dodge dodge dodge.
He's your ball sacker, and dodge will help with that. It's just so good both on offence and defence - plus saving hits on him.
Then leap. |

Because they have none.
Because he's not around.
Because priorities.
Because you won't allow it.
Because even Dorfs need to work out to get an 8 MA blodger down.
Etc.
Dodge is almost as good as Leap to break a cage, and your catcher may need it to pull that Elf crap reliably. Also, you already have a Leaper AND another Diving Tackler. You don't need Leap that much as as many menz as you can. |

You can pull all sorts of elf BS with ag4 dodge. I would have taken it as a first skill. |
