Is it worth taking?
Obviously it would be a waste to take it for Big Guy that has no Right Stuff teammates to throw.
But other than that... is it any good... is it useful?

Errrr.... it turns TTM from 3+ into 2+?
So..... yes?!
(If you want to throw people. Probably not for trolls, but for ogres?) |

So... good for AG2 Bug Guys? 2+, huh? Not bad.
Maybe useless for AG3 Bug Guys? |

It's good on teams where you have more defined roles for your throwers because the TV is so high you can afford to specialize and shrug off the opportunity cost. |

Maybe useless for AG3 Bug Guys? | AG has no effect on TTM. |

aside from the TTM, it's not useful for them unless they have +2AG upgrades. |

Were really only talking Goblins, Halflings and teams with players who have the right stuff and a big guy (like Orks, Underworld, etc). Everyone else not worth it (including a halfling/goblin superstar player).
realistically once you get Guard on a big guy, what more will you want. Stand firm, break tackle, maybe grab.
If your scoring tactic relies on getting a gobbo or halfling over the opposition's defensive line then yea Strong arm is the only S skill that helps passing. Lets face it, you don't want a key game move by a big guy to depend on a reroll as with loner it will probably fail. So +1 throw is a great idea.
If you find it good or bad skill value will depend on how often you throw the guys. If you are not throwing players, yes it is going to be a bad skill. |

Then why is it better on Ogres than on Trolls? |

I think because Trolls are somewhat more unreliable when throwing teammates due to very hungry? And on Ogres it might have a small side benefit for emergency passes, f.i. in the last turn? |

Trolls also have loner, you have to make two 2+ rolls before you can even try the throw, and your gobbo might get eaten. Also, with a pogoer goblins need to fall back on ttm less than halflings and ogres might. |

Trolls have loner on every team, very stupid and very hungry, which is a bit more crippling than just the bonehead ogres have when it comes to TTM.
In addition, you get up to 6 ogres to a max 2 trolls, so you can maybe afford to "waste" a skill slot on an ogre for this.
Lastly, snots are ma5, so you're almost always going to gfi 2 (3 if with sprint) times with them (unlike goblins, who can quite often end up needing just 1 gfi if any), which means reducing the dice rolls beforehand might well be worth it. |
