Isn't there usually at least one of the models in a team holding a ball? Which it is doing, with its tongue. |

If they're a new positional, I hope they've given them something previously unseen as a starting skill, like Pass Block!
squeezing through unseen, sneaking by...
Although diving catch sounds much more likely. |

Second chameleon head does not seem to have a ball. Maybe something like Shadowing for 10k? Interesting that Chaos were left uncouched. Maybe too early in the cycle. |

If a skill is added I think the so far mentioned catch, diving catch and maybe monstrous mouth makes most sense to me (based on the model’s appearance). The chameleon aspect could maybe be operationalised as foul appearance or disturbances presence, if they want to go that way? |

There is nothing in the text to suggest a positional....
"We don’t know what we love more – those massive Saurus, adorable Chameleon Skinks, or the teeny-tiny Slann statue that acts as a turn marker for the team. In-game, Lizardmen Blood Bowl teams are highly specialised, with Skinks making for superfast ball runners and Saurus acting as a rock-hard wall of scales, muscles and fangs on the line of scrimmage." |

I really hope you're right. But it mentions skinks and chameleon skinks. Of course we may be reading too much in to that. Hard to say
Guess we just need to wait and hope |

It is a real shame they won't take this opportunity to nerf lizards |

Yes I read this a bit like ‘halfing hopefuls’. The first mention gives the full title whilst the second ‘skink’ is likely a diminutive or the first. But as you say, we shall wait and see. |

i have heard a fluff theory that mentions skinks are more fragile than a goblins and needs to be cut to a av6.
In that case the cameleons could be the better skinks without being that different from the skink as we know it today. |

This would make much more sense, being forced to have 1-2 av 6 players would certainly make them more challenging.
I still live in hope that Ch dorf bulls get a nerf and mutations cost 10k more. Certainly optimistic after the fling changes. |

It could possibly have a movement reducement on the cameleon since they are not known for their speed! maybe even a skill like twoheads since their eyes would make it easier to see everything. But, then again...... Speculations |

As an aside, (disclaimer: I'm not a Lizardmen lover) I must say they are very good at low/mid TV, but not as good when they face leaping sackers and clawmb. I don't think that adding a new kind of Skink would change their performance drastically. |

Lizzie lover too.
They have this great ability to play bashy against the leaping teams and play speedy against the bashy teams.
For that versatility alone I love them.
That being said. If Lizards get positional skinks and skinks retain AV7 they are going to be Uber powerful. A catcher won't make much difference, but a thrower would be insane. With a thrower and a receiver who has catch (not hard in a lizzie team) you then start getting length of pitch crosses for tries. |

I think the addition of the new skink was done mainly to annoy 3rd party owners as it forces them to go out of their way to get a full team |
