In the SWL League, we have the full "Seasons" rebuy rules in place. Currently I have 1630K to spend on this skaven team, including my existing fan factor. That means I can increase the team TV by 180K before dumping any excess treasury.
Some possibilities include:
* Rat Ogre!
* 2 Linerats and a 5th reroll
* 1 Linerat, 2nd thrower and a 5th reroll
* Something else?
Any advice welcome. In particular, should a Skaven team like this roll with a Rat Ogre? |

As a Dwarf player who just bought a Deathroller with his rebuy cash, you should go the rogre. I reckon it's the fun choice |

I'd honestly just buy to 14 or so and start skilling DPs. |

It really depends on your play style. I can't stand wild animal. Rat ogres are crazy expensive and really vulnerable. Plus you have better blitzers in your blitzers.
However skaven are such a good team they can carry the dead weight and st5 PT is useful at times |

I'd forget a 5th reroll and load up on linos. |

I would not buy a Rat Ogre. I agree with Garion, too many drawbacks, namely:
- Wild Animal;
- Loner;
- No G access;
- AV 8;
- Expensive.
I sometimes use a Rat Ogre to experiment/mess around, but I tend to regret it. |

Ger the Rat Ogre, playing with Rat Ogres is much more fun! Just remember: blitz with him every turn! |

3 extra skaven would make the most sense. Rat Ogre is fun and potentially useful to give you more chance for 2dbs. But they failed my skaven team more often than helping it.
4 rerolls seems plenty! |

Listen- you put an exclamation point next to the Rat Ogre. You know it's the right choice.
(Even if, yes, it's probably not the most efficient, and will probably lose you a game or two. If you do take one, consider getting it guard, if possible, and activating it as rarely as possible one it is in position.) |

I'll never take a rat ogre again. Take it as fun or as a game spoiler. It's the same with the Mino, though if they get Prock they get usefull. |

I've never heard of Prock before, and at first thought it was a type of music form the '70s.
(And Minotaurs can be fun and destructive bowling balls with Juggs. and claw, if you can stomach the risk of losing your blitz.)
Using either a simple 2dice block is asking for trouble. With Guard, a rat ogre can really help other kills do their job. |
