I feel nobody ever mentions the orc lino for renegades but i really like him as a player and feel he can be very helpful with his av9.

best lineup is:

3 big guys
12 human renegades (no animosity and great skill selection. max out the # of them)
1 elf (40tv worth of agility upgrade, only 20tv price, agility access)

16 players, no vacancy for others.

It might be because he is a new player on a somewhat unpopular team. And that his biggest contribution is getting punched in the face. smallkosp runs one, so you know at 50k they are TV efficient Wink.

You would turn down a:
5329 Orc lino
to keep a
6338 Human in every scenario?

Yes you can min/max your TV value but Punching bags don't need AG. So when did the punching bag get added to Renegades/Pact?

Also, who takes 3 Big guys and no Goblin?

My 14th player, after 12 Marauders and the elf. Marauders have S access, Orc doesn't.

yes, every scenario. The human has access to strength, passing skills, and no animosity...for same cost. Renegades get stiffed on TV. Only the elf is a bargain and RR 70k. The only other bargain is skill access on humans.

Any one of the BG takes a punch better than the orc. Put 3 on the front line. if they have guard, standfirm and two human guards nearby, many opponents don't even bother trying to hit them. The best punching bag, is one that people don't even want to try.

the goblin would just get smashed. Same reason why orcs don't usually have one.

I like the orc. He replaces the mino for me, not a renegade.

Yes, this is less ST, but invariably, he stays on the pitch longer, costs less TV and can move every turn without rolling to do so.

AD,

i guess that's a good point. My minos are fortunate enough to get tents so the moving around thing is less of a deal. guess I'm a bit spoiled.

as for the "stays on the pitch longer", I'm skeptical. He has 5ST and thick skull. and let's face it, there's a lot of claw out there. the orc is just a skaven with his shoes tied together.

Just my experience Ark, I've got real bad luck with minos and generally don't take them anyway, but the Orc has stayed on the field plenty for me - I went block/FA on my first orc (something I would never do on a marauder due to skill access) and he was very solid on the LOS.

It's pact's strongest point though - the malleability of the roster.

and with Grandier Occasions' win loss record, I'm tempted to concede the debate.

ok, I guess orc has some value.
