Poll says it all. Gotta figure out how to start. And I keep rolling well with my skills, which ironically makes it harder.
Of note, I have 3 vampires with a combination of +AG, Block and Dodge.
No other thralls have any skills at all. This will be my first.
I'm leaning toward guard or tackle, since I keep getting beaten by elves recently. kick seems tempting. However, I could get that later when I didn't roll so many options, so am currently leaning toward guard and ignoring the +MV/AV and taking guard or tackle. Leader might be OK if I kept him in the back to start, but I already have 5 rerolls, so don't feel like I need more right now. Although I could take leader and then drop a reroll to keep my TV lower eventually I guess. I'm not sure the endgame number.
Thoughts? |

I am not a Vampire Coach usually, but i would pick +MA (as per vote)
Needing thralls for Vampires action a MA could be useful.
Guard and Mighty Blow are always a good choice for me, but then you will need to care for him and thats not what you wanna do..
dodge could be very useful too.

you need all the rerolls you can get on vampires, so leader imo, but guard works too probably |

Either Leader and drop a rr or Guard. I'd take Leader.
As an aside, AV 8 doesn't improve the chance of a Thrall staying on the pitch when bitten. Bite roll is not affected by AV, it's a straight Injury roll treating any casualty as Badly Hurt.
It's better to bite a rookie Thrall whenever possible, not an AV 8 one. |

The more Guard you have, the easier it is to keep players on the field. I'd pick Guard. I'd put Leader as a 2nd or 3rd roll on a Thrall who had no stat increase roll in his previous rolls. |

Leader on a Thrall is wrong. Why do they have P access at all? |

You can't have an av9 Thrall without having an av8 thrall first (Yes, I actually did that and he was awesome while he lasted!)
That said, Vampire teams need rrs, and do you really want to waste a Vampire skill slot on Leader? No. Thralls are a perfect player to throw Leader on. If you already have a bunch, drop one and save 40k TV. |

Blood lust is an injury roll, no armour roll involved. So thick skull is a better pick to keep a thrall on the pitch. If that's your aim.
As for what to pick. I'd need to see the team to see what they need |

av sounds compelling. Guard is a safe bet and of use. Leader is excellent value but the player wont last so I dont see it as a long term choice. |

My Leader Thrall has 30 games under his belt.
Even if the Leader Thrall dies after few games, the important thing is he gave a TV advantage in those games.
Any Thrall tends to die, no matter which skill he takes, so better to give him a good skill for the value. |
