Random MVP by the way is not really a new rule. In LRB4 the MVP was random too. It could be awarded to dead players, though, unlike the current one.
I think that it should be pseudo-random again (D3 or D4), to help teams such as Chaos, Lizardmen or Necro, just to say some (skilling up Saurus Blockers and Wraiths with random MVP is a pain) or assigned randomly to a player who actually earned some SPPs in the game.

MA Cap

Characteristic change. AG4 => 2+ etc

There was a third thing but I can't remember what it was right now.

Don't want to derail the thread, but I think the reason they moved away from D3 to Random MVP again is because the introduction of random skills on less SPP. Basically you get MVP and then roll random skill on a linemen. if you went back to 3 MVP there would be no utilisation of the new random skills mechanic and linemen would remain as rookies in perpetuity like 2016 edition.

The reversion to random encourages the use of the new functionality built in to the game.

There are so many rosters in Secret League that I haven't go around to them and new rosters don't seem that exciting. Wink

I think that it would be more about making it a little slower to built your super freaks.

Freaks could have been dealt with by simply capping the stats/skills each player can have (and/or making harder to roll them).
Actually, there are still freaks around.
Ball carriers get farmed, even with random MVP, while players needing badly core skills struggle to get them.

Probably need a separate thread to discuss this more.. not about guaranteed 2×ma ball carriers. Coz that's obviously terrible for the game. But your point about tricky to skill players due to lack of 3x mvp selection is worth discussing... however I don't see a problem with the outcome you point towards.....

I like the stats being X+; it's so much more intuitive and it's great for new players

Niggling Injuries (and Decay) are at a really nice level of impact.

I really came round on multi RR, wasn't expecting to.

Leaping over players is an addition I've really enjoyed.

No more natural one turners

No more Piling On.

Kickoff table had the extremes toned down a bit.

I like the general philosophy of making new teams/revamping old teams with unusual skills or combos. (Even if I'm not super keen on the new skill/trait bloat)

Going straight from CRP to 2020 so idk what stuff here is actually from 2016

Begrudgingly admit that x+ is better than numbers on stats, even if my dinosaur brain doesn't like it.

Defensive is a good addition to the game, even if it feels like a personal attack on my playstyle

I like some of the new teams, Nobs (please for the love of nuffle give them a couple of tv discounts though), post-nerf UW. I don't play stunty but gnomes are a cool addition.

CPOMB needed a nerf (though I still miss piling on and would like it back in a real form sometime)

Blitz! and perfect D being limited is a good first step (good second step would be removing Blitz! from the kickoff table)

I like how the BLITZ event gets no re-roll use, often causing an aggressive defense to be WAY out of position if a key RUSH fails.

Piling On still kind of exists, it's just called Pile Driver. It fills the same hole, which is "When a big smashy S-skill guy crunches an enemy, get a extra go to try and murder them." It's just that the cost has changed from "go prone" to "possibly get sent off", that is to say from "too trivial" to "too severe" in terms of people wanting to use it.

I'm aware pile driver exists. It is nothing like piling on and might as well not exist for how bad the skill is.

Yes, Pile Driver basically is a wasted skill slot.
