Six team types with a professional draft at the end of the season and scout signees during the season. A draftee or scout has learned skills that will bolt onto one of your base players on your team. A free agency is in effect if your TV goes below a certain threshold, however, the scouted players are restrictd by region investment points rather than TV thresholds.
Elf league, human league, chaos blocker league, stunty team (Dust Goblin, Halfling etc.), standard league team (Dwarves for example), and secret league team (4 Nations for example). The team categories play 5 game regular seasons in a round robin and a preseason tournament separate from the other team types. The postseason involves a league of champions' style event with the other leagues.
UFL/elf team: The elf agility league provides teams with high scoring matches and dynamic defenses. 5-4 final scores have happened in this league. League is active.
TSC/human team: The human balanced team is full of players that have innate skills that allow you to build strong synergies. These teams are able to hold onto the ball, press for a score, and play defense effectively. Two blocker positionals add to the punching power of this team type. Team will play other types during a season while waiting for the TSC to form.
RBL/chaos blocker: This is the bash league that will have a high emphasis on removals and ball control. Each team comes with 4 blocker pieces and a big guy. The innate strength of the roster will lead to matches where they lean on other teams with tags, blocks with an emphasis on the guard skill rather than putting an emphasis on scoring. Team will play other team types while waiting for the RBL to form.

XLB/stunty: The challenge of facing goblin weapons, staring down 6 ogres, or snotling mosh pits leads to some exciting games. Casualties, break away big runs, and TTMs are standard play. The league is now allowed to take star players up against other team types to even out the odds. No other BCL team type is allowed to induce star players in interleague competitions. League is active.
IBA/standard teams: The standard league in draft format means that the strengths of these teams are accentuated. Bash teams have ag2 piece draftees and the agility teams have ST4 draftees on occasion for a different level of play than standard bloodbowl despite being standard teams. League is active.
KPA/secret teams: The secret league teams provide more playstyle variety. However, tier 1 and clan moulder have been banned because the tier 1 amongst secret league teams has ridiculous power creep. While Clan Moulder an XLB team ran through the league twice damaging all the other teams which led to mass dissatisfaction. Nowadays the league is more even and vies with the UFL and IBA in interleague competition as an equal more than an overwhelming force. League is active.
