D12 Block die replaces the D6 Block die like so:
1) Attacker Pow: the attacker is pushed back and knocked down, opposing coach chooses the destination square, Fend/Stand Firm/Side Step can be used by the attacker;
2) Attacker Push/Pow: the attacker is pushed back and knocked down, if they have the Dodge skill they are just pushed back, Fend/Stand Firm/Side Step can be used by the attacker;
3-4) Attacker Pushed Back, Fend/Stand Firm/Side Step can be used by the attacker;
5) Red Both Down: both players are Knocked Down with turnover;
6) Attacker Down;
7) Defender Down;
8 ) Green Both Down: both players are Knocked Down without turnover, unless the attacking player dropped the ball;
9-10) Defender Pushed Back, Fend/Stand Firm/Side Step can be used;
11) Defender Push/Pow: the defender is pushed back and knocked down, if they have the Dodge skill they are just pushed back, Fend/Stand Firm/Side Step can be used;
12) Defender Pow, Fend/Stand Firm/Side Step can be used.
The icons are the same as on the normal D6 block die, but the results from 1-6 are coloured in red, the results from 7-12 are coloured in green. Easy and practical to remember.
note: I guess that the D12 results could be more ordered this way, although the chances don't change: it's easier to remember that the first 4 results are turnover:
1) Attacker Pow
2) Attacker Push/Pow
3) Attacker Down
4) Red Both Down
5-6) Attacker Pushed
7-8 ) Defender Pushed
9) Green Both Down
10) Defender Down
11) Defender Push/Pow
12) Defender Pow |

Seems like a cool idea for us online BB addicts and over-thinkers. But most people are playing table top games here and there probably less than once a month. This level of complexity is just too much for the game's core players. It's supposed to be casual and fun.
I like the concept though! Just think it's way too much for BB at large. |

Ah, it's just an idea for the sake of it. To be honest, the complexity is not that higher, due to symmetry.
The outcomes are the same, just mirrored for attacker and defender (with a little change to Both Down to respect the symmetry's logic and to make the turnover's chance a little lower). |

5/12 for no block/dodge player to fall down when actively blocking sounds quite rough, while the chance to get the target down without failing is 3/12 (1/4) |

it's 4/12 chance to fall down with turnover, with result 1, 2, 5, 6.
It's a 33.333333% chance.
With D6 block die the chance to fall down with turnover is 1/3, so 33.333332%.
I think it's close enough not to make a difference.
The chance to get the target down (without Blodge) is 4/12, so 33.333333%.
I find this even. Throwing a single die block has the same chance to knock down or to be knocked down. |
