Hello everyone,
Tomorrow I am scheduled to play a real-life BB game with my Norse team vs. and Orc team as a 'friendly'.
My Norse are TR 127 and very similar to http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&op=view&team_id=195932 except from 2 more fan factor, another blitzer, an apothecary, agnar with pro, volsung with guard and frothi with +AG and dodge.
His Orcs are TR 196 with lots of skills. He tends to play to injure.
I need help, this guy is fairly arrogant and likes to win, hence the playing of weaker teams. The handicap table will help me a bit but any advice as to to winning (or even drawing) with norse vs orcs would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
King Hrolf |

You have very little chances to win.
You also have very little chances to avoid a huge spanking.
All I can suggest is blitz and run. foul if you have a nice opportunity to surround one of his big boys (blitzer or BoB) and pray. If he breaks your armor (and he's likely to do that) you are doomed.
btw: TR127 norse vs TR 196 Orcs is lame. Tell him I told you so. |

hope that you receive the first kick and concede straight off the bat. you lose 1 FF and look a little chicken but with that matchup i would rather be -1FF chicken than a feild full of RIP. |

nods... that could work, conceding to keep ur team alive... and foul every turn works too, they get sent off instead of pounded!
and try to dodge instead of blocking... 1 blitz a turn makes things hard enough! |

The one bit of advice I will give is: After this game, you'll know why cherry picking is good, and being cherry picked is bad
Make a new team now, it'll save time after the game...
Oh yeah...if you care about your players and created a lot of fluff for them, take 2 boxes of Kleenex to dry those eyes...
Oh...I nearly forgot...don't take games like this again |

Thanks for the boost in confidence.
Just to clear things up - this is purely a friendly - no consequences in our league. It is just something to pass the time during a hobbies exhibition. |

This isn't, either, the type of match-up to use (in my way of thinking) in a hobbie exhibition......
These kind of things tend to be setup to attract new players.... A fair match is more likely to do that than a SI / RIP box with a full team in it, while the other team may get a KO, or 2 if they are unlucky.
For a friendly exhibition game, use 2 teams that are either TR 100, or, if you feel the need to go higher, make sure you explain it to the onlookers.

Yeah, this ain't friendly, and it really doesn't help exhibition either...
The only thing that'll grow is your "friend's" ego for spanking you good in public... |

I can only agree to what the others are writing... What is he substituting for?
Personally I would foul him! |

Crowd Push his players with your blitzers - at least that will let you bypass his armour and when his prized players die, he can't even use the apo, muhahahaha. Oh and foul them till they die! |

Don't foul the players, foul the coach! That'll make him think twice about ever cherry picking you again! Hit him with a fist loaded with BLOCKING DICE! |
