If you want to keep him around despite the niggle, I'd say give him either passblock or shadowing. It would make him a great defensive player.
As a Receiver, he sucks up SPPs and is unreliable with the niggle. He'll continue to add more and more to your TR making you play harder teams and give up hanidcaps. As a Safety/Cornerback (sorry for the American football terms... Sweeper, maybe?), he's just picking up the occasional SPPs off of casualties and helping to cause turnovers - which then convert to TDs for either him or your other players. If he doesn't turn up, you can still mark your opponent's receivers with plain old linos almost as well and you aren't losing the core part of your offense. |

/me slaps MrMojo around a bit with the LRB
Quote: | Mighty Blow (Strength Skill)
Add +1 to any Armour or Injury rolls (not both) made by a player
with this skill. This skill may not be used by players with a
Strength of 2 or less. This may only be used to modify an
Armour or Injury roll caused by a block. Mighty Blow may not be
used to modify an Armour or Injury roll caused by a foul.
This skill may not be used by players with a Strength of 2 or
less. The strength score comes from the player’s position as it
is written on the team roster, so a Goblin (St 2) can never use
this skill, even if he gains St+1, and a Human Blitzer (St 3) can
use the skill even if he later loses a point of Strength. |

yup, as far as I'm concerned, it's the closest we come (even if rugby is apparently also a great inspiration).. I never really understood that game... probably because I've only ever watched in in a drunken haze while in this australian-theme pub in London.. Walkabout or something... great place, but wow am I getting off topic here whoooo.... anyway, nope as has been said already, no Mighty Blow for weak-armed catchers! (try Elf catchers... those are real men, ehm, elves!) |
