Ahh, how lovely. The hockey tourney started yesterday and USA and Canada are both already out. Let's hope for the dream final between Finland and Sweden now.

Yes, It might even make the game for the bronze interresting should SWE and FIN would loose tomorrow. Glad that the Checks beat the Slovaks ,I think it is the better matchup for Sweden.

Yeah, back when I used to watch the NHL I loved Teemu and Paul Kariya playing for the ducks.

He's probably the most well know of the whole Finnish team, excluding the assistant coach, Jari Kurri.

How'd you pronounce the name, anyway? Selani, like salami? I know the double consonants often cause difficulties for the english speaking folk.

hehe, they have changed their name now haven't they. Disney sold them - so they are no longer called the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. instead they are called the Anaheim Ducks I think. And Paul Karia is no longer welcome to that team. Teemu has started to rock in the NHL again since he is back with the Ducks after sucking for a few years with other teams.

It would be wonderful with Sweden against Finland in the finals. With all our common history and our great rivalry, it would be a game to remember for a long, long time. I don't remeber. ARe there any Finns out there who remember the last time Sweden and Finland met each other in a final?????
