'was' refers to his thought which was in the past, because it 'was' probably wrong (qualified in this case, because nobody had mentioned you previously).
C3PO has some soft flaws that prevent him from being 100% gamey. I doubt he'd appear at the top of the list, no matter how good he is/gets/was. |

You are a Wood Elf coach, even though you like to play the other races. |

One thing I've noticed after watching some of the top ranked players on here is that some people seem to opt for a defensive formation that basically ignores the sidelines and keeps all the main hitters and valuable players in a protected box of some sort just behind the LOS. Anyone care to comment on this? I'm curious what the thinking is behind it. Gloradin does it but also some others in the top 10. |

It's to stop your 5 best players from getting hit in the first turn of the drive, just a small trick to help them survive longer. After the first turn you know where your opponent's heavy hitters are so you can try and screen them off with your cheaper players or even keep enough distance from them especially if they are prone from pile on.
You might also have heard about 'the rule of five' it means having a team of 5 stars-legends and 6+ rookies or almost rookies which plays into team value management and the tactics of having expendable players to shield with. |

this is also to force slow teams to choose a side to go on and wedge them to the sidelines |
