Oh u went ahead and used the old plastic models as a base for ur human icons. Sweet, although they arent the prettiest of models (the minis, not ur icons) they are still sort of my favourites. Maybe u should make the catcher a little thinner or smaller, hes a scrawny little st2 guy anyways, and right now he looks as big as the blitzers

The new humans seem to armored until you paint them.
After you have them painted they look quite good.

Trust me on this. I bought them with the firm intention of cutting their spikes off the mini, but after the first painted mini I just realized they are very well done as they are now. They are not too fat or too large... but they do look like a bunch of guys trying to blitz a hole through an Orc LoS... which is exactly what they are expected to look like imho.

I resized the human icons to 28x28 pixels to fit in the current client.
This is how the old humans vs new humans match looks like at 1024x768

tbh they are a bit too detailed and the differences between positionals are confusing, so I'll stick to the old ones even if they suck big time. But still if anyone is interested in this version to be used with the current client version, feel free to PM me.

There is a new version of the 28x28 humans in Nick Kelsh's pack.

I like the new large humans. I agree the catcher could be a little thinner though. Smile

Grim Ironjaw gives the hook!

I might have exaggerated the size a bit. He ain't that tall, but the head came out quite grotesque. Well, him being a big boss man I hope people won't mind. I Used Pat's trollslayer as a basis, so big hand for Pat is in place.

And the zip

Barnlato, first of all, Grim totally rocks!
But Horkon, sorry mate, the animation kinda sucks... i tried to figure out what is wrong, and i think it is the dagger; I'd give Horkon a "Stabing" animation, meaning the Dagger moves from the bottom to the top.
You know not an "above the Head" swing kinda "Sword" move, but the sneaky stabbing of the victim; More like a secret weapon move you know... Oh and as the Dagger is supposed to be poisioned, it could use some green on the blade. Like Poison drops;

I'm very aware of it. I did not quite manage to find Horkon's essense in the given time. However, my work is presented as is and I might go back to Horkon if he starts to inspire me again. Like said I like to keep this as a hobby, not work, which eventually destoys the fun... and me.

But, feel free to alter the animation in every possible way imaginable.

Mmmmhh... The icons are very, very nice, but as I see them in the field (JanMattys image), don´t know why, but I don´t like them. Maybe they are too little at 28X28.... No idea.

@ Barnlato: Love that Grim!! Keep on with this good work mate!

Of course. Criticism too is always welcome. Should this be a commercial project I wouldn't have presented Horkon afterall, but to re-work the animation until I myself would have been satisfied. But considering the amount of work it takes for me to cross the finish line I decided that Horkon's weird jumping would do for now since the still image came out pretty good.

Some days a re good, some little worse and my pace is farely sluggish in all of them. I really envy Nick and Pat for their speed.

However, let's keep the high standard. Few pixel artists more and it would even be easier.

Thats totally cool for me. I'm glad to hear the Animation is kinda "beta", and youre right the Still is damn good (look up the preview sticky topic and compare the still icon to the Portrait! awesome!)

Barnlato i love the way you try to capture the Star Players personality with the animation, you really make them come alive so kudo's for that man!
