SWL LVII Round 6 Axe

SWL Premier League

All Clear

Black Swans Conference

All Clear

Tribute Conference

Balle vs DrPoods - extension

Third's a Charm Conference

Angryman vs MrSocks - Forfeit to Angryman

Chunky's Regional

buuface vs Lizzie - forfeit to buu

As it stands Faulcon wins his last game he gets it anything else Bobs needs a win (or draw if Faulc loses)

Semitence draws or wins last round then he takes out Black Swans Conf just ahead of Beefy's CD's (possibly both go up anyway)

Tribute conference can still be a toss up between Poods, Balle and Redgum last rounds count.

Thirds a Charm is being dorf dominated with Grod the likely champ there.

Jevouse, buuface and Polemarch all doing well in reggies with the 2 undead/redead/semidead whatever they are teams needing some more time it seems.

Buuface has had a cracker of season and he & Jevouse look set to be promoted regardless of the result of the last round. A win for Jevouse sees him take the Regional title, anything less and the Norse will take it home. Poley has proven quite capable with the Vamps... when they haven't imploded on him. Rumour has it that polemarch is looking to play Underworld in a couple of years to complete the headache trifecta. The nightjars need a another season to grow, as do the Necromantic (hopefully they will return soon).

For the Third's a Charm conference, Grod has sewn things up after rolling over his last two opponents, quite literally, with a deathroller. Redmaul has a chance to pick up a spot in the elimination playoff for the fourth premier spot should he take out a win against the Amazons (putting him on 25pts) - a match that he should be relishing.

The tribute conference is still up for grabs, although after tonight's match with B2K and DrPoods we should see where the chips have fallen. Currently looking like either DrPoods, Redgum or B2K are our contenders. Rough calculations from the SWL's king of spectating Jevouse are that there isn't a way for the second prem spot to come from this conference. B2K has proven that even with a sub-par roster & multiple extensions he still has what it takes to compete. Poods has surprised everyone, finally putting out the hurt after being promoted off the back of a rough regionals season. He will be the critical factor in the fight for prem, with as he plays Redgum the following match. Redgum has had a great season, after a slow start. Might be kicking himself for those first two weeks though!

Results in the Black Swan Killer Konference were a bit more unbalanced. It's a two-horse race for first place. Beefy will either take the title, or take second place and go up to prem regardless, depending on the last match results for Barre & Sem. If Sem wins or draws he goes up, but a loss will still see him through to either prem or the elimination match against Redmaul (if Redmaul wins) or up to prem otherwise. Barre was close, but no cigar this season. Eganra was really up against it and will be pleased to get a single win. Karnov's crowning achievement is surely killing the abomination that was Big Daddy Cool. The Orcs weren't able to string it together this season, but are still looking solid. Chavo still has a bunch of statbeasts so will be strong in conf.

Yet again, it's all down to Faulcon for the prem title. Our specialist choker will want to put Tyra_Nid's flailing lizards to rest in the mirror match. Should he lose or draw, that open it up for Bobs, who has a tougher match up with Erickan's tackle happy Orcs. Rabid's loss last night shuts him out of the title race, and Woodistan trod on their toes in the second half of the season after a glory run for two and a half seasons.

Next year prem looks like
Slumbering Skink
SWL Hunting Crocs
Crypt-O-Night
Woodistan State Dance Squad
Malapropism Mania
Technically Minded

Very nice.

Looks like my attitude of "if you can't be the king, be the kingmaker" is paying early dividends. My early tip would be Redgum to get the nod but if he does, Malalocide hope that we can go OB style on both of them. Even if they win, they won't forget us in a hurry!!

The picture will be clearer tonight. Wonga Wonga v Malalocide at 10pm AEST.

I'm currently in negotiations with Faulc about what compensation will be required for me to throw the game.

If I happen to lose, you'll all know that an agreement had been found in the back room.

Ouch.

Looks like it is between Malalocide and the Rats! Nail biting finish to the Tribute Conference.

As the Doctor himself pointed out...

Nuffles love has been of the extreme variety with many teams bending over and a few then getting the reach around.
