and yeah, wrapping up the season this evening I think (wife-approval pending) with a shot at promotion.
Will try everything to win, but I've got some critical injuries that will make it a tight game. |

Hope you can find the stuff you need. Impact miniatures is another good supplier that tends not to have their stuff listed on Comixinos. You might be able to track down the styrofoam board, I don't think they are particularly sought after so you might be able to get one at a reasonable-ish price, especially if you ask around on here and on ausbowl.com
It is ugly as hell though, so your nostalgia might fade quickly. |

That's a rather big if, considering the teams in question. And being promoted would not exactly be a good thing for my beleaguered Elves. |

The Griffon Gate Sentinels were well and truly put in their place by Redgum's Rodents with a crushing 3-6 defeat.
Congratulations on your promotion Redgum & good luck in Prem next season! |

It all came together in round 7 for the Sinners.
No failed dodges. Killed a snow troll and a lineman. Skilled the ghoul. Won the game.

May be a price to Pay Regionals
Regional Contenders: Dustbunny (locked), Charger, lolvenom (wtf...)
Needing a refuel: polemarch
Dustbunny has had a really solid season of play, and could walk away without dropping a point. MBBL elf-specialist Charger needs a draw or better to tie up second place. If he loses though, we could have the Ogres coming in and taking out second place, which would be a real coup. The rocket vamps obviously needed to hit rock-bottom before refueling. Once a skilled Vamp goes down it really puts pressure on a team like this. Next season sir!

Would just like to point out why you shouldn't discount the old dry bones of Khemri |

Great stuff almic - the best kind of the victory is the one when you've already been disregarded! |

I think my preferred system would be to promote the Conference winners and relegate the bottom three coaches from Prem. Then have the three Conference second place teams play off against Spots 3 to 5 in Prem. Gives the chance of turnover if its required but doesn't mean you could end up with a weaker Prem than Conference level (extreme case but possible).

So just seeing how this would play out now that we're near the end of the season.
With 1 week to go barre pretty much has not not trip over the final hurdle. Could happen. Jevouse has no incentive to win other than to spoil so theres no reason for him not to say Induce 3 apothecaries and survive for next season.
Malapropism vs Autumn leaves is a dead rubber. No incentive either way except pride.
Erickan and i are basically fighting for 3rd place unless something interesting happens. Either way its the same result for us.
And Faulcon is somewhere between locking in 2nd place and avoiding relegation and being ready in case Barre stuffs it up. Wings of Condor are set to relegate but i'm sure he'll give it a good go of spoiling if for no other reason than pride.
All told its pretty boring.
Conversly we could have 3 races going on.
1- The race to win prem is still in the mix and while it has 2 1/2 horses shit could get real. Nothing would change there. Except that Steaked being in their own race to avoid relegation could make them play more aggresively or differently (i'm sure jev will just do his best regardless however i think the inducement choice might be effected)
2- Malapropism, Wings of Condor and Steaked are in a race for that 5th position. The one who would probrably have the unenviable task of playing off against the Fun Police or Public Service announcement (but more on that later).
3- Suddenly my clash with Erickan to see which of us comes 3rd and which 4th becomes the difference between playing Redgums Rodents and what i presume will be SWL hunting crocs.
These three races make this round really exciting not just for us but the entire league imo. It gives added incentive and i believe will lead to better teams being in the prem next season. (granted i would expect fun police, hunting crocs to get up and theres a good chance redgum would elf me) But at least then no one feels they had a fair chance and it didnt happen for them on the day.
As for whether teams would prefer to relegate than play the Fun police at all. Remember there's always a chance he pulls a semi in the last turn |

This is something that didn't occur to me at the start of the season but having to finish 2nd to avoid relegation means there are a lot of games after R3 or R4 where the only thing to play for is next season. |

And yet there is so much to play for in 3 other divisions.
Opens up so many different permutations at conference level where the real action is |

Our division was great this season. I personally was a bit disappointed with the games that I won & lost based on dice (too many) but it was a super exciting finish and deserving sides going up. |
