Forum Suckers Vs. NFL greatest
With a freshly Legend Shadow on the pitch, the Suckers are bound to be crowd favorites. Unfortunately, these CDs are loaded! The big issue here is the handicaps. Should there be a virus in the ranks of the NFL's Greatest... then they lose their ST 6 troll, their best BC and their best CD. Rooting for handis is hardly a good tactic for picking, so I expect the CDs to limp out after a surprisingly tough match. 2-1 NFL's Greatest. |
Id say that was right on
need some round 2 predictions |

!!! Round 2 pick !!!
Axiom vs Body like a Battleaxe
Body's treasury is big enough to load up on the nice set of Human Stars available.
That is the only hope Body has against tautology's Dark Elves.
2-0 Axiom

Awwww....I liked it better when I was the underdog. |

Second turn picks
UI III Qualifiers: Crimson Lantern
Not determined yet.
UI III Qualifiers: Copper Lantern
Wasser, Malz und Hopfen (Dwarves) Vs. Chaos Inquisition Revival Tour (Chaos)
The first turn hurted badly the CIRT as they losed 2 players, for this second round they are only 12 against a full squad of dwarves. Candlejack is a good coach and I think he will still be able to score at least once before missing some players. 2:1 OT for WMuH.
Kremlin Krushers (Chaos Dwarves) Vs. Orkzz (well, Orcs)
Tough match, the both teams are really good as far as their coach. As I predicted, I think Orkzz will win this qualifier but with a dp down for this match it could be difficult: there is only one left and there is lots of good players on virdung side. Woodstock is pretty good against CD with a 5/0/0 win rate against them, we can hope for good play. 2:1 OT Orkzz
UI III Qualifiers: Light Lantern
Humans Against Crime (Humans) Vs. Dobluth del Menzoberranzan (Dark Elves)
This game will determine the resolution of this qualifier, if the DE win this Borgen will probably be in the UI, if it's Emphasy we'll see a bloody final as everybody loves it. My thought is that the DE will suffer a lot since they have 5 players with low armour and only 3 support players against 6 for the humans. 2:1 Humans against crime
UI III Qualifiers: Jade Lantern
Super Naggswan (Dark Elves) Vs. sComodini (Dark Elves)
A match against two underdogs, quite unexpected, by me at least. Both teams lack of tackler let me perplex: this game will be pure elfbowling. Both coach are real good against Dark elves, they have equally effective teams, not much to say; we'll see if the handicaps help SN, if it's the case like sComodini's game against DELFO delves, I think it will end in a 3:2 Super Naggswan. |

Update!
Light UI III Qualifier: Grey Lantern
Elite Composers vs Young and Innocent
pick: 3-1 Elite Composers
real: 3-2 Young and Innocent
!!! Round 2 pick !!!
Woodburns E.L.F vs Young and Innocent
Wood vs High Elves. No handicaps.
Y&I's MNG Blodge Guard will hurt no doubt. More telling is the comparison of ST4s.
Y&I have two of them but neither has Tackle and only one has Block.
Woods have one with both AND a one-turner AND cash for a Star if they want one.
4-2 Woodburns E.L.F (again) |

Update!
Dark UI III Qualifier: Obsidian Lantern
Helena High vs Greatest Ever
pick: 3-1(OT) Helena High
real: 3-1 Helena High
!!! Round 2 pick !!!
Slaaneshi Torment vs Helena High
The Skaven took a beating last game with two dead and one MNG,
but these Chaos doesn't have a full roster either.
Even so, TR/TS is currently fairly even with a slight Chaos advantage.
Torment has a treasury big enough for a Chaos Star or two,
while the Skaven could buy a couple linerats.
The Tentacled Stand Firm Chaos Warrior could be an issue
but BooAhl's Skaven should be able to pull through this one.
3-2 Helena High |

Synn's Picks.... closing out the qualifiers:
Amber
Woodies at Trieout
Vs.
Deep Down And Dirty
First of all, the winner of this match wins the group. Unless it is completely bloody (which is a possibility with freak here) then I don't see the UI not having one of these teams. As for the match up itself.... Triple D is just evil. 14 players. Horkon (i like him), and some incoming handicaps. The woodies are a loaded roster but all woodelf teams can fall apart. Also, Triple D have the best player on the pitch in that evil 8 3 6 8 blodge strip ball blitzer. If the freak plays and up and down style while taking his shots.... I can see the Dark elves heading into the final. This should be a high scoring game too.
Triple D: 4
Woodies: 3
Expect to see the Aggressive Asian women waiting....
Triple D wins over the AAA in what could be the coolest proxy name ever*
Amethyst
Street Fighter Legend
Vs.
Liras Leveler
Yeah..... i see dead woodies. One thing the UI has proved, is that inflated high TR elves can get popped fairly easily by handis and the basics. A virus will kill the woodies. So would a moreleys. Even bribe the ref 2 is a dangerous handi to give to the #1 rated coach (who according to this thread looks to be ready for an appointment with nuffle.)
Result: Street Fighter 4-1 over the woodies.
__Synn
*We should start a poll to see what the proxy name of AAA and Triple D should be. I am voting DeepDirtyAsian |

UI III Qualifiers: Jade Lantern
Final !
Super Naggswan (Dark Elves) Vs. Sirian Skirmishers (Wood Elves)
Good shaped Woodies against crippled dark elves; withe the lost of 4 players last game ibar's team is really looking weak for a final. The Skirmishers should easily win if we don't see a Virus around the team box. 3-1 Sirian Skirmishers. |
