EDIT:
I don`t see how birthday fumbbling has giving a wider range of coaches a fighting chance in a major. I rather think that it`s the opposite. The gap between the 'elitist powergamer' and 'Joe Average' has widened considerably by the fact that Joe didn`t play 20+ games with his designated majors team on the birthday and has never touched that team ever since. |
Strange enough, I have always been able to participate in the qualifiers and am not particularly known for cherry picking or elfballing.
I think a lot of people are conjuring a problem, where there is none. |

To participate or to win
Big difference. This time I am definetly a participant and not a contender. |

The anti birthday guys should get stuck in and foul them to pieces
The way those teams advanced is actually pretty similar to the cherrypicker elfball style of advancing. The no injuries and no aging is pretty much the equivalent of elfballing and either being lucky with aging or simply being persistant. There is also a point after which skilling a bit more for "free" only damages the team.
I'm not sure where I fit into the world of the "eilte" and johnny average...... |

Try entering a major with norse, and you'll see the problem. |

Careful Emph,
Your path after the first round could be Laban... then me. Imagine that... three of ten coaches with the most games played on the site.
I will ho you.

Obviously, this thread is about the UI and not the HORRIBLE RAMIFICATIONS of the birthday, but I would like to make one point.
One of the more pleasant and positive side-effects of the Bday was that people were able to construct semi-buff teams with races like lizardmen. THAT'S A GOOD THING, RIGHT? |
