But if you win the NAFC, it's a corker. |

I demand a stunty cup every event!
Or, you know, a nice picture of one and a note in the Won tournaments section |

Given that there are different brackets this time out, will there also be a stunty playoff, or is it record across timezone divisions? |

Across time zones. Assuming a Stunty team doesn't win it all! |

I will use the ticket, yes. Most likely with the same race, but still some time to change my mind |

Three days to go until kickoff!
I must admit, things are looking a little bare in the NA and Aus timezone groups (whilst Europe is in three figures). Let's go Aussie / America, take advantage of a tournament in your time zone! And bring a friend!
I'm going to accept applicants to the group later, so if you think you don't see yourself when I do, PM me immediately.
I've been asked a question regarding odd / even applications, and I'll be the European 'spare man' should we have an odd number of applications. The other two timezones will either play with a filler team, or I'll not accept the last application. I expect the former so all can participate.

Half jokingly asking: If somebody in EU time zone applies into other time zone (with flexibility to play the game then and there), then is there a competitive advantage? |

I don't think so, no. Even if the Aus / US Swiss groups are smaller (and by the way, there is still bags of time for them to fill up), that doesn't necessarily mean that they're easier. Some of the very toughest NAF tournaments I've attended have been smallest. There is nowhere to hide. In a Swiss of 250, you could conceivably get an enormously lucky run. 30-40, you're likely to play the better coaches if you're to win. Low teens? It's essentially a league, no hiding.
I should mention that I'm checking teams tomorrow. But check yours! You might not have long to fix things if you don't! |

It's not just a population thing? Looking at the NAF numbers Europe has got to be nudging 10x that of Australasia.
SWL had 40 coaches last season. Some don't like non-progressive, and though we might rope in some non-SWLers I honestly don't think we'll get more than 40.
The only two TT tourneys I've been to so far have been about 20 competitors and they were fun events. Road to NAFC was perhaps a bit too big, easy to get lost in the crowd. I'm confident that Lutece Australasia will be a fun event - and the winner will go on and win the whole thing |

Yes, maybe so. I'm confident that the NA / Aussie timezone events will be hum dingers, regardless of size.
Size isn't everything, I'm glad we're catering to our differently timezoned cousins. |
