Well that makes me think again about implementing happygrue's proposal of variety index.
Another idea would be race badges (e.g. an "ogre specialist" would have played all matchups with ogres (or all matchups except stunties maybe) and a "chaos dwarves magnet" would be a coach who has more than 12 different matchups against CDs). That's on my list for the weekend |

I've created a [FTBG] League as an added incentive to get new Black Box teams onto the pitch. Include [FTBG] in any new Box team's name to earn the right to issue challenges in this parallel organization whenever your team hits a grid filling milestone.

I've finished my update of the group, with the new variety indicator !
On the fill rate front, BillBrasky is leading with a stunning 76% filling rate. But other coaches are grinding their way to fill the grid too...
Not many other changes since last update except Fightingmongoose that gets his first award, he's now a grid starter with 57 different matchups done in only 70 matches !
 .
The variety indicator ranking is now separated and reveals a few surprises... A big cheer for ultwe and BigBlockTheory who have a really high variety, 68 and 67 respectively ! That means only one third of their matches are in excess from a perfect balance between the 24 races. No secret, they're among the only coaches to have played all races (actually Bill has played all races too, but he slightly reduced his variety with WMD ).
Another information is that for now, except for Chaos, CDs, Chaos pact, Elf (BillBrasky), Orc and Undead (pythrr), no race have managed to fill a full line. I keep working on ogres, but maybe YOU can fill a new line before anyone else gets it?
EDIT : Oh, and next step is probably to include other awards. Feel free to give ideas. |

I've played all races too but some only a measly 1 or 2 games 
Nice to have the fill rate and variety index separate so you can fight your way upwards on either one. |

Great work Emeric, those tables are looking great!
For awards, it might be fun to have something tied to playing games with a variety of races (these you could keep working on even after filling the grid)
The exact numbers could be almost anything, but perhaps something along the lines of:
100/500/1000/5000 or more games with VI of 33/50/67/75.
That's one way to go, I'm sure there are others. Anyway, It's nice to see more people joining! |

You did a great job mate, I love the new formula of variety.
But if it is not there an automated system, may be a good idea that each of us send you a pm with the new achievements.
Maybe something like "I have completed 5 new cells" or "I managed to fill a line"
To make work easier. |
