Ahaha, i thought there was something wrong in you Iron, but i never expected that you were a damned "gobbo"! Wink
Forza Empoli!

I just metioned the probability Juventus might win the champion's league as well as Inter.

Ahh, but skating is merely one skill that you must master, young grasshopper.

You must also master shooting, body checking, fist fighting n ice skates, and (though it is a lost art) mullet growing.

Shooting?
You are talking about biathlon, now, aren't you?

Children, you will need to learn the difference between CANADA ( a vast country that can pretty much fit your continent in it) and BRITISH COLUMBIA, a tiny enclave on the West coast of said country blocked from viewing anything other than themselves by a large range of Mountains.

Lord_Chaos..... Are you out of your Freaking Gourd?!?!?!?!? I understand that many un-enlightened folk who've not experienced the true joys of Winnipeg think it backward, and I can forgive that. I DO understand that the sun HAS been seen in Vancouver, but it may come as a surprise to you that many cities in the world have NEVER experienced 15+ consecutive days of cloud. In addition, I'm from the Canadian Prairies. It's flat. Not Flat like people in Illinois or Belgium think they are flat compared to their neighbours. COMPLETELY flat. You see, in Vancouver, the sun rises on the East horizon and sets at what??? 40 degrees above the West????? Behind the GIANT MOUNTAINS??!?!?!?? If you are bored, look up a few weather sites on the internet and check out average hours of sunlight, you don't know what you are missing! Smile

Since this thread originally was about hockey, I am about to return its focus to it. I have just finished watching the game between Canada and Switzerland, and I can only salute the Swiss. First they manage to beat the Czechs with 3-2 and now the Canadians with 2-0. This game almost got me interested in hockey again. I mean, not one single player in the swiss team is good enough to be selected into the national team if he had been a citizen of the USA, Canada, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Sweden or Finland, but by playing like a team, and with a phenomenal effort by Gerber in the Swiss goal they manage to take pretty impressive scalps. GO SWITZERLAND!! (hrmm, unless they meet Sweden of course. I may like Cinderella stores, but I still want my own country to win the gold medal).

With that said I now want to say how I think the olympic medals in hockey will be divided:
Before the games started I thought that the Czech Republic would take the gold, that Canada would take the silver and that Sweden would take the bronze. But now I have changed my mind and I think that Finland!! will take the gold in an exciting final against Slovakia, who then will take the silver. Bronze will go to Canada, after they beat my beloved Sweden in the last game.
But if I where to say it with my heart, I hope that Sweden takes the gold, Finland the silver and why not Switzerland the bronze. That would be beautiful.

It would. You should have heard everyone in this place freak out at the loss... I almost double-posted to comment on it. Way to go Switzerland!

A couple of days ago, a danish commentator said that Canada plays like the swedish women (exceptionally well), untill someone, start fighting back with teeth and claws.
Once someone refuses to lay down and die before the almighty canadian might, the candian defense slowly starts cracking up.
Even though i cheer for canada, I guess he was somewhat right.

The kazakstan defense really earned themselves some new starts with me too. They really managed to hold together really well.

GOD I love hockey!

Hey Mactivity. I don't care about the percentage of sunlight in Vancouver to Winnipeg. I was talking about Vancouver being about a thousand times better than the peg. You knocked Vancouver first. I knocked your crappy sports teams first. Over all the peg sucks balls compared to BC. The sun does set behind mountains. Beautiful huge mountains full of lush trees and awesome wildlife. Something you might not have experienced in that vast wasteland of flat emotionless land that you call Winnipeg.

Oh, and thanks for Simpson, I'm sure the loss of him and Printers will not hinder the Lions quest to make a winning season pay-off come play-off time! They just need to multiply their Cup wins by 5 to catch Winnipeg!

the Swiss played the Devils Trap well this morning. Im even happy to see Canadians on every countries roster. Please exclude Russia. No canadian would be caught dead in a cold wilderness like the USSR.

Just for the record, Ive been to Winterpeg and its the toilet bowl of Canada. If it wasnt for Los Angeles, Id say it was the worst place in the world to visit.
