In order to estimate how the coumunity can give to help Christer in the legal matters recently facing fumbbl, i'd like to make this poll.

I could personally afford about fifty euros right now, but i'd be willing to sell a load of old GW stuff and donate the proceeds.

I'd certainly be willing to contribute 50 euros to help out.

I don't know the current conversion rate, but I put 50 regardless.

If we all put our money where our mouths are, it still wouldn't be a waste as donations haven't been covering the site running costs so far(Christer said that somewhere in the news comments).

if Christer is positive about consulting a lawyer on the prospects in court i'd be comfortable with paying €5 for that.
if that lawyer indicates that there's at least a 30% chance of succeeding, meaning we could continue to develop the new server-based client for lrb5 without fearing gw threats i'd be willing to pay €50 for that.

i vote €50

also, i've been involved in a lawsuit for 1,5 years, now - it has been surprisingly inexpensive (about €1K = approx. 7..8% of the total sum in question)
of course, i would have to pay my oppo's lawyer as well, if i lost my case.
i suspect it might be similar in sweden (i'm from germany)

one has to keep in mind, that a lawsuit can be a very cumbersome and nerve-wrecking experience where lots of patience is required.
1 or 2 years are easily consumed by a lawsuit (at least here in germany).
i'd much rather like to see Christer find some kind of agreement with gw.

I'd pay something to keep the site running, not to engage in legal activities. That's a sink hole.

Ditto, Treborious... all what you said. Hell, I'd give money to GW to have them let FUMBBL stay open. I've donated to this site (plan to annually) and would pay an annual licensing fee to FUMMBL to pay GW or however that would work...

The site and the community is too fun - ESPECIALLY now that cheaters have been banned Wink

being not to bad off atm i voted 100 euro, but i am sure if the site needed to raise money or cease its excistance i am sure we could raise significant money.

I think i've barely been here over a month but i'd be able kick in a little.

Anyways, rather than going all out into a trial, how many would be willing to pay just to have a commercial lawyer look at the case and tell us what they have a right to enforce upon fumbbl and what is as someone said legal bullying. ?

Why is this thread in the Ranked division forum, and not in general chat, where it should be?
P.s. unfortunatly, being a student, i feel limited in what i can give right now Confused
