Considering my Nurgling clowns Laughing Sickness, (assuming they survive the Stunty Cup relatively intact) and my Lapario Pathfinders Halfling Pros. . . that could change, of course.

A couple quick announcements.

S.P.L.A.T. Season 2 will begin on October 25th. Registration will open on October 18th. DO NOT SIGN UP UNTIL TOMORROW.

Here are some minor scoring changes.

These points are scored just by the recording team
10 Points for a Win
5 Points for a Tie
3 Points for a Loss
5 Points for a TD
1 Point per Casualty (add up the whole Casualty Scoring Line BH+SI+RIP)

These points are scored by BOTH teams:
3 Points for a RIP recorded in the Casualty Scoring Line (on the game page listed as BH/SI/RIP
2 Points for a RIP listed in the Detailed Permanent Injury List at the bottom of the game page

The change in RIP scoring was to help out teams with Regeneration as they were unfairly hurt by their ability to shrug off death.

Here are two scoring examples so you can see how scoring works.

Example #1

Fourth World wins 2-1. They deal 5 Cas (3+1+1) and they score 1 RIP but 0 Permanent RIP's

Win = 10
2 TD = 10
5 Cas = 5
1 RIP = 3
0 Perm = 0
For a final score of 28
If this was an uncommon team, you add +25% to the final score of 28 to come up with a bonus score of +7 or 35 total points scored.

Conversely Fester and Company lose 1-2, deal 2 Casualties, suffer 1 RIP but zero Permanent RIPs

Loss = 3
1 TD = 5
2 Cas = 2
1 RIP suffered = 3
0 Perm = 0

For a total of 13 points scored.

Here is an illustrated example of scoring.

Question about RIP scoring: Does this mean RIPs caused by secret weapons (bombs and chainsaws) will count for 2 points because they will show up in the Detailed Permanent Injury section but not in the Casualty Scoring Line?

Are rip points cumulative? Ie. Do you get 5 pts for a recorded, permanent death?

Correct. Just a reminder, however, BOTH teams score the 5 points!

Correct.

If a player Regenerates they are counted as a RIP but not counted as a Permanent RIP. So you earn 3 points but not the full 5 points (3 for the Casualty Score Line but 0 because it's not in the Permanent Injury Details)

Same thing goes for a player that is successfully saved via Apothecary.

On the flipside, players that are killed by the crowd, secret weapons (chainsaws, bombs), or eaten on a TTM (or SPLAT on the TTM) earn 2 points for ending up in the box score (Permanent Injury Details) but not earning the record in the Casualty Score Line.

I know this is a bit more complex than last season but I really wanted to make sure Nurglings, Snotlings, and Horrors weren't hurt by regeneration.

My Fae are still in the losers' bracket of the FC, but I can't face not playing them in SPLAT so they'll have to be late to the party. Considering bring my new gnomes as my common team but maybe I'll stick with my Cheaters.
