of the 4 guys in stunty as a whole who start with block, theyre all underpinned by critical team weaknesses, one simply cant have an entire lineup with block for the price of goblins, it just aint fair, and id love to see skaven types in stunty too, but not like that... |

I think this is a prime example of a bad new team proposal.
Sorry if that's too harsh, but it's just way unbalanced. |

Now that's what i call constructive criticism ....
There are now several ways of the team being discussed ...
how would you try to make them balanced then ? |

Ello.
Lets see:
RATLING TEAM
40k 0-16 Rat Centaurs 7 2 3 6 - Block, Stunty (Gen, Ph)
60k 0-16 Ratlings 8 2 3 6 - Dodge, Sprint, Stunty (Ag, Ph)
130k 0-2 Rat Ogres 6 5 2 8 - Wild Animal, Big Guy, MB, Frenzy, Prehensile Tail (St, Ph)
Ok, this would allow you to basically build two different teams. One with all Centaurs, one with all Ratlings. Not a great idea, IMHO, as you want a team that uses all your players.
a) Rat Centaurs - Gotta loose the block and 0-16 is very unballanced. Also, their speed would need to be countered with less blocking power methinks and given a cost of only 40k (compare this to a gobbo) they're way underpriced.
Suggestions - 0 - 2 or 4 limit. Either go for a blocky or fast option. With rats, I'd probably go for fast. 6 2 3 6, Stunty, Dodge, A, Ph and a cost of around 60k I think. Compare it to a Fairy Pixie. If you want a blocky option, just add G access.
b) Ratlings - I assume these will be your bread and butter players, so 0-16 is fine. However, these are way too powerful for the price. Compare vs a Fairy Pixie - it's got +1ST, Sprint and access to Ph for 10k. Also, Sprint gives them a possible move of 11 already, and with Ph access, they can get VLL and +MA eventually. WAY too powerful for your lineguys.
Suggestions - Your ratlings need to be fast, but not that fast, and if they're going to access Ph and have MA7, you need to reduce their starting abilities. They also should be cheap enough for you to replenish quickly.
Perhaps 7 - 1 - 3 - 6, Dodge, Stunty, A, Ph for 50k. Vs a gobbo, that's 10k for the Ph and +1MA, but -AV - ST.
The Rat Ogre is fine. However, in Stunty teams, don't BGs have acces to G?
Anyway, with my suggestions, here's the lineup.
50k 0 - 16 Ratlings - 7 - 1 - 3 - 6, Dodge, Stunty, A, Ph
60k 0 - 4 Rat Centaurs - 6 - 2 - 3 - 6, Dodge, Stunty, G, A, Ph
130k 0 - 2 Rat Ogres - 6 5 2 8 - Wild Animal, Big Guy, MB, Frenzy, Prehensile Tail (St, Ph)
Lemme know what you think. Also, there's a lack of any secret weapons for fun...did you want any?
Finally, RR cost? I'd be going with 60k I think.
Cheers,
