The fluff of this game is based on Warhammer 40k. This isn't supposed to be a fluff-heavy game though, so don't worry if you have no idea of 40k.
The Rules
Voting deadline: 7.00 pm server time
Kill time: 8.00 pm server time
The roles:
9 Civilians
1 Inquisitor
1 Hero
3 Cultists
2 Mutants
= 16 players
The Inquisitor:
An Imperial Inquisitor is among the citizens, attempting to expose a Chaos cult. He wishes to remain unidentified to avoid scaring off the cultists, therefore he carries no weapons or any signs of his status.
Every night before Kill time the Inquisitor may ask me (by PM) about the alignment of one other player. In case the target is the Hero, he will only learn that he is a proper Imperial citizen.
The Hero:
The Hero is an Imperial citizen with a great sense of duty, and he will attempt to protect fellow citizens from harm.
Every night before Kill Time the Hero may send me (by PM) the name of one other player that he wishes to protect. If no message is sent before deadline, he is assumed to be protecting no-one. If the person he is protecting becomes attacked, the hero will prevent the cultists from killing their target by sacrificing himself. The attackers are wearing masks, so no-one will learn of their identities. Both the target and the Hero will be revealed to all players, though the Hero will, of course, be dead by then. In addition, one of the remaining citizens (chosen randomly) will take up the late Hero's role in case the Hero dies defending his comrade.
The Cultists:
The Cultists are a group of Chaos worshipping heretics, who are attempting to sacrifice all of the other citizens to the Chaos gods in the (perhaps vain) hope of earning their favor.
The Cultists will begin the game with knowledge of each others' identities, and they may communicate outside the game thread. Every night before Kill time they are to send me a PM with the name of their intended target. If I receive conflicting messages, the target will be chosen randomly. The cultists may choose not to kill anyone, in this case they shouldn't send me any PMs.
The Mutants:
The Mutants are local citizens that have been tainted by the Ruinous Powers. They aren't truly evil, but as it is in their interests to remain unidentified, they will attempt to become the only survivors.
The Mutants start the game with knowledge of each others' identities, and they may communicate outside the game thread. Mutants show up as Civilians when killed (they wouldn't have lived this long if they hadn't learned to conceal their mutations well).
In addition, if a Mutant becomes the target of a cultist attack and there are still civilians still left in the game, the cultists will hesitate and attack another target instead (a random citizen). The cultists will be informed of this occurrance, and so they will learn the identity of the Mutant.
Victory conditions:
The Civilians win if they outnumber all of the Mutants when all of the Cultists are dead.
The Cultists win if they can kill all of the other citizens (or have equal numbers after their nightly kill).
The Mutants win if they aren't outnumbered after the last Cultist dies.

Naturally, these rules are open to discussion, and they may be changed if necessary. I have no limitations for when this game should start, so it can be decided later. |

What about the mutants, I mean if there are 1 mutant 2 civilains and 2 cultist left, will the cultist win then?
They have equal numbers with the civilans... |

hmmm...5 baddies, even though they're on conflicting teams?...
will 16 people be enough to balance out the amount of badness?
--j
ps...maybe i should have read the rules first....that just might work without being overbalanced lol |

Lets see if me going out and getting hammered, then sleeping it off all day doesn't ruin my performance in this game...
