I really like the new client and all the new features, but I ran into a small but annoying side effect of the new server side solution today. Since the new client is basically a big java applet it's no longer possible to copy text from the chat log. This poses quite a bit of a problem for anyone who is interested in saving quotes - be it for personal use, forum discussions or as evidence for support tickets.

What I would like to see as a solution to this is a possibility to download the chat log as a txt-file at the end of the game. Preferably this would simply be accessed from the menu as a click and save thing. I must confess that I'm not especially knowledgeable when it comes to programming, but I imagine that a feature of this type wouldn't be impossible to make.

Thoughts on this?

*bump*

Could someone with a bit of programming skills at least tell me if this is feasible or not. Pretty please? *puppy eyes*

Not possible does in fact include ctrl-c, drag and drop and, really, any other way of copying text that I know of.

@gran: fill in a bug report and make it a feature request (so I don't forget it). I should indeed enable drag & drop on the chat box...

Tried it, it no longer works. Odd, I once definitely did copy'n'paste a transcript.
