This is the Grumbledook memorial cup, he might not be dead but he still isn't like we used to know him. To remind us all of this lovely (and evil) simpleton have I decided to create this all ogre tournament.
The rules:
Teams may only contain ogres and coaching staff (no wizards or goblins) and may not have played or play against any teams that aren't in the tournament. All teams must start out with FF9, unpopular teams are simply not allowed to mutilate the memory of good old Grumby
A win is worth 50pts
A draw is worth 20pts
A loss is worth 0pts
Opponent forfeiting is worth 60pts
TDs are worth 20pts
Casualities are worth 10pts
The best way to get an all ogre team is to create an ogre team with as many goblins as you need to reach a submitable level and then retire the goblins. You could do it with a human team too but that would mean you would be forced to play with one ogre through the tourny.
The tourny will start 27/3-04 (next saturday).
And yes I did ask for his permission

Seems to work fine. I for one have myself a five man strong ogre team now. And like team captain Bash says "we'z gunna clumb yuu!" |

Make an Ogre team with some goblins, then retire the gobbos. |

Do we have to play on the 27th, or will there be a week for each match? |

With risk of sounding like I'm whining; after playing two games, I can honestly say it's not much else but luck that depicts who wins these games |

Will the points be worth anything or what? i read that it will be playoffs with the 2 best placed in each group, and after winning 2 games, i've no points... Is this a bug? |

Im afraid I have to agree with Irit here. The one whos Ogres doesn't all Bone Head in the same turn or manages to pull off some 1d blocks with out skulls or POW/skulls will win. Ogres alone is just to unstable to give a tactical option as I see it. In the Wild Pact Challenge you have 3 Goblins which is your tactical players (all thou it's hard to believe :p). This makes a huge difference IMHO. |

I was just wondering if it's possible to start your team from scratch if some freak injury rolls leave them with 3 ogres...? Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll have to quit, I know it's lame but when you start with 5 players, even the smallest amount of bad luck will make the team unplayable..? |

I started with an Apoc instead of a ReRoll as I thought there may be a few injuries (all players have M Blow after all).
I gambled on keeping my players alive rather then 2 chances of picking up the ball.
2 Dead / SI in a game is bad luck, one dead because of no Apoc IMO isn't ... just my view. |
