Some game you need to download like 70 icons for the game to start.

Is there a way around this?

Just wait till the next release of the client.. it'll have all the Pro Halfling Icons included (which are what you have to download now)

Specced a pro-flings mirror match and it was 73 icons.

Player portraits also need to be loaded if they are altered by the coach. It varies always.
