S.P.L.A.T. Season two will be starting in shortly (likely in 2 weeks). To whet your appetite I'd like to announce the Season 2 Common/Uncommon team lists.
Remember, in S.P.L.A.T. must you coach 2 teams one from the common list and one from the uncommon list (or two from the uncommon list if you so choose). Choose your teams wisely as your uncommon team gets a 25% bonus to all points scored! (If you choose two uncommon teams you must designate one team to earn the bonus.)
Common Teams- 1 Chaos Flings - 34
- 2 Squig Herders - 26
- 3 Gnome - 26
- 4 Skyre Slaves - 22
- 5 Forest Goblins - 21
- 6 Goblin Cheaters - 21
- 7 Gnoblar - 19
- 8 Nurglings - 16 (D6 Roll 6)
Uncommon Teams
- 9 Horrors of Tzeentch - 16 (D6 Roll 3)
- 10 Strigoyan- 14
- 11 Eshin Adepts - 12
- 12 Snotlings - 11
- 13 Pygmy - 11
- 14 Albion Fae - 9
- 15 Skink - 8
- XX Grandfathered Goblins - 2
- 16 Halfling Professionals - 1
- XX Grandfathered Halflings - 0
The list was compiled from turnout from the this years FCC, the Stunty Cup, and S.P.L.A.T. Season 1.
UPDATED:
A couple quick announcements.
S.P.L.A.T. Season 2 will begin on October 25th. Registration will open on October 18th. DO NOT SIGN UP UNTIL TOMORROW.
Here are some minor scoring changes.
These points are scored just by the recording team
10 Points for a Win
5 Points for a Tie
3 Points for a Loss
5 Points for a TD
1 Point per Casualty (add up the whole Casualty Scoring Line BH+SI+RIP)
These points are scored by BOTH teams:
3 Points for a RIP recorded in the Casualty Scoring Line (on the game page listed as BH/SI/RIP
2 Points for a RIP listed in the Detailed Permanent Injury List at the bottom of the game page
The change in RIP scoring was to help out teams with Regeneration as they were unfairly hurt by their ability to shrug off death.
Here are two scoring examples so you can see how scoring works.
Example #1
Fourth World wins 2-1. They deal 5 Cas (3+1+1) and they score 1 RIP but 0 Permanent RIP's
Win = 10
2 TD = 10
5 Cas = 5
1 RIP = 3
0 Perm = 0
For a final score of 28
If this was an uncommon team, you add +25% to the final score of 28 to come up with a bonus score of +7 or 35 total points scored.
Conversely Fester and Company lose 1-2, deal 2 Casualties, suffer 1 RIP but zero Permanent RIPs
Loss = 3
1 TD = 5
2 Cas = 2
1 RIP suffered = 3
0 Perm = 0
For a total of 13 points scored.
Here are some illustrated examples

now my only problem is to decide among so many great teams of mine. There will be a council between the captains, and they will decide who'll join this madness. |

Aww... you put both my teams from last season into the common teams. The other stunty team I use is also listed amongst the common teams, too. Looks like I'll have to make a new team just to have a valid Uncommon team
p.s. Just so this isn't all complaining....
I am excited that S.P.L.A.T. will be starting up again soon. \o/
p.p.s. Maybe I'll just take the most common Common team, and the most uncommon Uncommon team (not counting grandfathered teams). Hurray! |

I'll be honest Cavetroll, my favorite thing about S.P.L.A.T. is that teams move between common and uncommon each season (well, potentially they do). While it may be a pain, and I know you aren't complaining, playing new teams (both with and against) is so much fun in Stunty!
Also, while Professional Halfling are the most uncommon now (they weren't available for the FCC or SPLAT 1), they will likely be common as of next season because they're new and everyone will take one. |

Also, for any new players. There is no TV requirement for teams. They can be new teams or teams that have played hundreds of matches at any level. |

My 'complaint' as it were, is simply I don't want to make a lot of new teams. I prefer to keep my number of active teams small (under 20). We'll see what happens next season, though. |

Flincolnshire Chaos are going back into the mixer! Don't know who to take for the uncommon race though.
Might try and build a new one ready for the CARNAGE!!!
See you all very soon |

Teams are like Pokemon. You've got to have them all!
You can add that do the Idiotic Things Baelnic Says list. |
