I talked with some players and we agreed that with test mode it's possible to play with fixed TV and skills like NAF tourney games
This topic is created to arrange and meet players
I build a team with 11 players, right fan factor, cheerleader
then before to accept the match I write:
/option freeInducementCash 1000000
and I have 1,000,000 to adjust team!
(buying extra players, RRs, Apo)
then I adjust skills:
/skill add block 11
(it adds block to my #11)
/skill remove loner 11
(it removes loner to my #11)
or I change a stat:
/stat ag 4 11
(ag 4 to my #11)
then other commands could be useful too and they are in help |

Maybe you can create a group and advertise it, so it's easier to keep track of available teams and keep in contact with players by group PM. |

Do you have to use test mode?
A lot of NAF tourneys let you pick all the skills beforehand so it might be feasible for teams to play some friendlies to get skills on the right players. Then set up a non-progression league.
MVP's and FF would be an issue, but I'm sure I've seen a league where teams would get to play snotlings to raise their TV. |

Yup, needs to be set up as non-progression from the start. So they can't gain any skills. |

There are still some kinks with the no progression option. Here is what my team looks like after a no progression game (RIP became MNG, which then gives you loners)
It mostly works, though it is odd the players still get spp (they just don't get skill rolls afterward). I haven't filed a bug report yet because our tournament is ongoing and I wanted to see what happened the game after...
EDIT: Also, for what it's worth, the different timer settings seem to have no effect whatsoever that we could see. |

Iam glad to see my idea I posted over a year ago has finally taken off.
Lets hope with the league overhaul then this will become a reality with out the headaches. |

Is this thing still going? I never was a big fan of team developing anyway and with the CRP rules, personally i find myself more and more puzzled and in a bad mood if my players actually skill up.
From the group page it doesnt seem too active anymore?
Anyway, choosing your skills beforehand - having a team that works out of the box and that you dont have to constantly worry about when and what skills they roll - just being able to always play the game right away - sounds great to me!
If this is still going, or if you know of similiar active projects, then id be happy if you could let me know! |
