I just achieved a skill for an orc blitzer and took piling on. Of course, I did his before knowing HOW to use the skill in FUMBBL. Is it automatic when you block someone and knock them down, or do you have to choose to use it? If you do have to choose to use, how is that done?

click on the skill before you make the block,
or better still just retire the player, and don't pick it next time :-p |

Thanks freak. Just to clarify, I wouldn't choose Dirty Player because I don't like it much. Piling on is the same thing, just legal heheheheh.

Piling on doesn't work? Is that to say you find it a weak skill, or that it doesn't work on FUMBBL?

Weak skill is okay, I think it might still be fun to use....just to be different from all the standard skills.

Its a free armor reroll, especially when you really need that Gutter Runner to go down...

58% to penetrate AV 7 with MB
64% withPO
6 units of difference doesn't seem to be worth taking a dive yourself for. |

Yes then you have a 80% chance of breaking armor, but you should always take MB first. |

I have a troll (with str 5 and Mighty Blow) who I gave piling on after last match. He would break armor 7 every time right? |

I think you're thinking of the old piling on.
Mighty blow allows you to fall to the pitch to reroll an armor roll. So, let's say your troll hits a gobbo and rolls a 5 on the armor roll. You can either:
- let the armor roll stand an just settle for not breaking armor (yeah, right),
- Use mighty blow (which won't do enough, so that doesn't matter) or
- you can use Piling On to reroll that armor roll and hope for a 6 or better (so that you can use MB to break armor or add to injury on a 7+).
Note that the JBB program will automatically determine if it's smart to use MB or not. On the first example roll of 5, it wouldn't ask you or anything, it would just not use it because it would accomplish nothing |
