I play in a league and started three games ago with the Amazons.
My team is:
4 Blitzers
1 Throwers
2 Catchers
4 Linewomen
Now I got lucky with SPP and MVP in that all 4 linemen and both runners have landed at 6-7 SPP. I gave all of them block. As of right now the only person on my team that does not have block is the thrower.
The 4 blitzers have not gained any skills as of yet.
I choose block because of the 7AV. I figured i needed to do everything i could to stop them from getting knocked down.
Now I am thinking of where to go from here.
I was thinking of giving the catchers sidestep and splitting up the linewomen.
Two with fend and two with passblock. Placing the two with passblock on the outside of the line so they can move into the widezone where most passes seem to happen.
The blitzers I was thinking about tackle.
Anywho any advice from more experienced players would be greatly appreciated. |

Don't take passblock. I don't know about fend but I think thats a big no too.
I'm not a zon coach but I think these are all good linewoman skills:
- tackle (2-4, depending on regular opponents)
- kick (one, make sure they use it)
- DP (0-2 in LRB5 I think. they are nerfed but still very handy to have)
- dauntless (is this a general access skill in LRB5? dont take more than one or two)
I'm sure I've missed a few useful ones but these are all solid in the right quantity. |

Don't forget Frenzy.
If a Linewoman got 2 skills (Dodge, Block, Frenzy)
Your blitzers can go for : Block, Dodge, Guard, MB (guard on first skill is the best choice for a blitzer... from my point of vieuw)
So, with some luck you'll be having 2 frenzied players and some guarders to back them up.
Also try to create a 16 spp ball stripper: Dodge, Wrestle, Strip Ball
Wrestle + strip ball will get any ball loose if they dont have "sure hands" (except if you trow skulls) |

A bit of movement would be nice too. I like to work on a player or 2 with extra movement, when your a td down with a couple of turns to go. +ma, sprint and sure feet. But on the whole go with the above.
Oh and you appear to MBless and a bit a guard too. Still available in lrb5 I think. |

Never coached zons in LRB 5 but in LRB 4 my best choises are:
Blitzer - go for two MB and two guards, than combine with MB/guard and tackle
Thrower - accurate, sure hands, safe pass...all the throwing skills, block is useful but not necessary
Catcher - block, then side step....make use of their agility access
Linewoman - first block, then tackle, one kick, on doubles go for guard (11 blodgers and plenty of guard = nasty and deadly)
Since your zons are LRB 5 you could combine with some new skills like wrestle or fend. |
