Hi, I hear a lot about peoples players dying loads but when I looked at the rules it seems to me that for a player to die they have tofail an armour save, which there is generally less than a 50% chance of doing, then role a 10,11 or 12 and then on the casualty table a 6, so for each player that has to make a an armour save for falling etc there is a 1/72 chance of them dying.I hear of chaos teams killing 5 players in a game, is this a lot of luck or are they including players who pick up a niggling injury etc?

Piling on - adds str of piler to armor value roll on blocks.
Mighty blow - adds +1 to armor or injury value on blocks.
Dirty player - adds +2 to armor or injury value on a foul.
Razor sharp claws - adds +2 to injury value on blocks.
Claw - adds +2 to armor roll on blocks.
Stunty - adds +1 to injury rolls when stunty person is blocked.
Then there are chainsaws, poisoned daggers, pushing people out of the pitch and pitch invasions etc.
Add all this to the mix and you can see how it can get bloody.
For example, a chaos warrior with piling on and rsc blocking an armor8 player (average armor) gets: +4 on armor, +2 on injury. Meaning he only has to roll 5+ to break armor and 8+ to injure. Which comes out to a little less than one injury every three successfull blocks. |

Actually, they don't add up. Only one skill may be used to modify either roll. So, the best you can get is +STR on the armor roll through Piling On (which is really nasty, not only on big guys) and +2 on the injury roll through RSC (+3 when used against a stunty player). |
