howdy. I have problems connecting to the chat channel at the moment: well, actually, to ANY chat channel... whether with mIRC or the java applet or anything else. I'm trying to rectify this sorry state of affairs, but since i know feck all about pooters this may take some time...
so... to anyone who was looking to play me in a tournament: sorry but i'm kind of incommunicado right now, except via the forum... and if anyone can recommend an IRC client that's FREE and WORKS PROPERLY ON OLD POOTERS (PC) then please let me know
ta, cthol. |

mIRC should work quite well on new and old computers. Are you able to connect to the server with it? And what kind of messages it gives when you try to join a channel? |

If you're behind some heavy firewall that might be the problem.. |

I thought you had to pay for mIRC?
Regardless, I use MaxxChat. Found it through google a while ago when Javachat was down.
Like you cthol, I'm a fecking eejit with pooters, but it's fairly easy to set up.
I did find this page helped a bit --> IRC Commands
Hope it helps. |
