Hey all,
I'm running a Pro Elf team in BB2 (CRP/2016 rules) and I rolled a 6,6 level up (+ST) on a thrower. He has guard already, and I'm conflicted about whether I should take it.
I could fire the niggled block lineman to save on tv, but I'm more inclined to put him on the line and let nature take it's course. Having 2 st4 pieces would be awesome, but with blodge a whole of SPP away, I am sort of concerned about it.
The team is:
3RR, Apo
Thrower - accurate, sure hands
Thrower - guard
Blitzer - dodge, tackle, mighty blow
Blitzer - dodge
Catcher - wrestle, dodge, strip ball
Catcher - +ST, block
Lineman - block, dodge
Lineman - block (niggled)
Lineman - block
3 more rookie Linemen
I have the highest TV team in the league, so I'm starting to get sensitive to bloat, and this feels like it might be a luxury I can't afford.
Or it could be awesome. |

Take +ST.
He will get block eventually (or will die before then) but as your only guard player he will be basing up against other players and the +ST will keep the thrower standing. |

Guard and + ST combine extremely well. Just forget the ‘Thrower’ part and develop him as a support piece that can give assists whereever needed. |

+st. you have a sure hands/acurate thrower. its always good to have a "quarterback" for the defensive side and hes that for sure. always give yourself a shot at st 5 as well lol. i have a st 5 lineman on my high elf team and well hes a monster. lol. |

Take the +STRENGTH
On Offense He is now your Short Retriever and Ball Carrier and Power Hitter in time. And he can THROW if needed.
NOTE: I said Retriever... not Receiver... you still have Catchers for that.
Guard can be great on a Ball Carrier it helps your Teammates in Blockimg and Blitzing him Free.
ST4 can be great on a Ball Carrier he can just run over almost anyone that gets in his way.
I'm thinking Block and Dodge and Sure Hands are your next 3 skill sin some order.
Maybe even Catch and he can be a Receiver of sorts.
Pick up ball with the other Thrower and Pass it up to this one. Have him CAGE it.
IDK Lots of options.
The other Thrower is now your Deep Retriever... your actual Thrower.
Now you can develop him into his different role on the team as well. |
