Just a quick shout out to the fine people at Goldwave, who make a good shareware audio editor that's also cheap to buy.
Can anyone recommend any good freeware DVD audio rippers? |

Audacity on Sourceforge is good, my gf used it on her Mac to edit a sound file for her ring tone. Sourceforge is my first stop for any free software. |

Sourceforge is nice, but even better place is Freshmeat (.net) Theres usually more finished projects and general UI is better. Althought many open souce project can be found from both. |
