What's new? Well, it can generate you team-specific names, i.e., no more Arnold named Amazons
How to update? The newest version of the script is automatically downloaded when you click the button for the next time. |
I thought i noticed something different
Nice! |

It has never worked for me and it doesn't now either. :-/
Don't have the time to look into it, I'll probably do eventually. |

what browser?
I'm using it in chrome and it works great.
only thing is that you have to open the 'buy'-window in a tab instead of popup.
best thing with chrome is that I don't have to install the script on every computer i own |

Firefox. I do the extra tab stuff of course. When I press the button/link, simply nothing happens. Maybe it interferes with some add-on or so. |

@Rabe: What version of FF do you have? I tested it on 25.0.1. If you open up the web console (Ctrl+Shift+K), do you see any errors on the console?
@pythrr: I used the list of suggested names on the PlayerNames Wiki page here in Fumbbl except for Skavens and for the undeads. Skaven names coming from a method described in the Book of the Rat and for undead/necro names I got deep into the database of the Cyanide computer game Anyway, the full list of sources is included on the project site if you're interested ;] |

Same version here. Won't do the other stuff right now, but thanks for the offer.
I can usually come up with pretty decent names myself anyway.
Great tool though! |

@Roland: Thx for the verification! Actually, that means the script is loaded Unfortunately you ran into a bug, I had wrong team roster references for Khemri and Goblin teams - but it should work now.
Additionally, I disposed that error message and the script generates a simple random name as before if it can't identify the team you're playing with. |

Here's the error message from the console:
21:31:08.518
getUserData() oder setUserData() sollten nicht mehr verwendet werden. Verwenden Sie stattdessen WeakMap oder element.dataset. requestNotifier.js:64
English description found on the web:
Use of getUserData() or setUserData() is deprecated. Use WeakMap or element.dataset instead. requestNotifier.js:64 |

@Rabe: This issue is definitely coming from an FF extension/plugin and that's probably causing some interference with other JS scripts (I don't use the functions or includes you wrote).
Here's a link about that issue from the FF support site: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/982142 |

Some thoughts from using the RNG (random NAME generator) for a while:
I don't like the orc names, I might use the first name, but not the surname (unless I'm lazy).
I like my orc names more Tolkienesque.
Same with halflings and undead, mostly delete surname.
LOVE the chaos, khemri and vampire names! Keep them all. <3
Also satisfied with the squig herder and forest goblin stunty names. |
