Hi all!
Just have some quick questions .Can bigguys that got the skill pro reroll all kinds off rolls?
Bigguys can use leader rerolls but do they have to have the skill or is it ok if another in the team got the skill.
Is it correct that a non bigguy player that has the skill pro and doesnt succede can use a teamreroll to reroll the pro result?

If a Big Guy has the Pro skill and it succeeds, then he can reroll all rolls that could normally be rerolled, including Bonehead and Really Stupid and such rolls.
A Big Guy can use a Leader reroll no matter what player has the Leader skill. BUT!! As it is now, Leader doesn't work properly in the client. It just adds another reroll; hence, Big Guys can't use it.
You can't use a team reroll to reroll if you decide to use Pro skill to try and reroll, no matter if Pro is successful or not. |

the trick is that you CAN reroll your pro roll
if you roll a 1-3 on your pro roll you can reroll that trying for a 4+ |

Of course, if you need the roll to succeed enough that you are willing to use a team reroll, just use the damn team reroll. Otherwise you are wasting the reroll for only another 50/50 shot at getting pro to work, when you should have just used it to begin with and gotten the reroll. |

Of course since we're talking about Big Guys here re-rolling the Pro roll is kinda besides the point. |

Well, if you're playing on board, you could always use a Leader reroll Although Mr-Klipp is right of course when saying that you should've used the reroll from the start instead of Pro. |

As per Thrall's post, you can in tabletop reroll a failed Pro roll using a Team Reroll. You would normally do this if you are hoping to reroll a non critical result without wasting a team reroll and then change your mind about how critical the roll is after failing the Pro roll.
From memory however, SkiJunkie does not allow use of Team Rerolls to reroll a failed Pro roll, unless that has changed in the last few months. |

But BGs still can't use Team rerolls properly in the client or?? That is, they can't use a Team Reroll just as anyone else uses a regular Reroll? |

Big Guys are not supposed to be able to use re-rolls per LRB rules. The only exception are Leader re-rolls (and those don't work like that in the client yet).

Lets say you make a 3+ dodge with a pro player. You plan to do no more rolls with the player this turn.
You roll "2" and fail it.
Getting to reroll the dodge will give you x happiness points ( ), compared to not getting to reroll it.
You have one team reroll. Saving the reroll for next action will give you y .
Now, you have 3 choices.
a) Use pro. A good pro roll grants you x + y . A bad roll just gives you the y . Since pro succedes 1/2 of the time, this option is worth x/2 + y .
b) Use the team reroll. This will always give you x .
c) Use pro. Reroll pro if it fails. A good pro roll again gives you x + y . A bad roll gives you x if you succed the pro reroll, and 0 if you fail. Hence, the total worth of this option is worth (1/2) (x + y) + (1/4) x + 0 = 3x/4 + y/2 .
Using the values of the options above we can see that a) is best if x < 2y and that b) is best if x > 2y. If x = 2y all three options are equal.
Although the purpose if this post was to prove mr-Klipp wrong, the math wasn't going my way this time.... = - 2
CONCLUSION IS: Never reroll pro, UNLESS you are 100% sure that x = 2y and just want to play cool. |
