Gutters are on defence to assist, not to hit. I use mine alot, including a MA 11 one to lend that crucial hit, and with ag 4 and dodge they can get anywhere, nearly. |

yes, but the odds of rolling a 10 are 3/36, including the double 5. And to be honest, on a double 6, are you going to take anything but the strength increase? seriously? |

That's my point - you can't have 3/36 for MA and 6/36 for doubles... |

Ok, what are the odds of rolling a 10 on 2 dice... 3/36. That's your odds of rolling a +MA.
Now the odds of that same roll being doubles is 6/36. Those are your odds of having the option of taking a mutation.
It's not necessarily exclusive - double 5s in this case as noted.
Ok, one more to make your head hurt. The odds of rolling any possible way of increasing your movement (assuming you don't already have VLL) without passing up a +ST?
7/36 (roughly 1 in 5 skill rolls) == 1+1, 2+2, 3+3, 4+4, 5+5, 6+4 and 4+6
Odds of a Dauntless Horns GR being more fun than a 1-turner? 1/0 == infinite. |

My GRs are on defence to hit and to lend assists both. My GRs blitz far more than my Storm Vermin nowadays, but that's because two have Dauntless (one has Horns, one has Strip Ball, both have Block). Of course when I have an open run with my ST 4 Storm Vermin he'll be doing the blitzing, since he has Tackle, but going deep and sacking the elven ball-carrier waiting there with the ball is a GRs job, even without dauntless. Two to assist and one to hit him. |
