How many times does weather happen.......?

Yeah try and keep it to 2 tds a game total preferably both being yours. This way you will only roll on the kick off table 4 times and you shouldn't have to worry about to many bad kicks. Alternatley you could not score at all and just get spps from cas that way you would only have to suffer a max of two bad kicks a game. Wink

Well its just simple odds. On a 2d6 the most likely throw is a 7 since it has the most possible combinations to equal that number. 7 is changing weather. The next most likely are 6 & 8. These are Bad Kick and Quick Snap respectively. Many people think that on 2d6 you have a 1 in 12 chance (or 1 in 11 for the slightly more cerebral but still incorrect folks) of getting any number but really when you take 2 dice and add them you skew the average towards the median of the possible total. This is also why the difference between AV 7 and AV 8 is more severe than may seem at first glance especially if Mighty Blow is used.

Ladies and gentlemen, we finally have someone who understands a "bell curve". You are 100% correct, bad kick is one of the 3 most frequent rolls on the kick off table.

I suppose many people just have never seen the kickoff table...

by the way: i'm one of this guys where the bell curve just doesn't work. Sad (i tend to roll low. it's my nightmare at BatleTech. to mostly roll 4 times in a row under 5 or 6 is standard...) I think i have to invent a game where low rolling is the way to win. Wink

I rolled 5 throw-a-rock's in one game once. A couple of bad kicks per game is quite reasonable compared with this.
