aha but the warhammer world is part of the 40K universe right? and so is Earth. And the emporer probably played fly-half for England. So it's fine. |
Nope they Fantasy and 40k are different universes. |

Or do Chaos Lizards make no sense in the WH universe? |
Lizardmen were created by the Old Ones to fight Chaos so Chaos Lizardmen would make no sense. |
Is not like Blood Bowl is based on the same fluff as Warhammer Fantasy. It's an unique universe with many deviations in itself (Slann don't exist in GW related Cyanide but still exist in NAF, Khorne and Bretons exist in NAF but are only League in FUMBBL) and Nuffle as an unique Chaos God that was never mentioned anywhere else, while he is the basis for Blood Bowl.
These Lizardmen could simply align with the Great Nuffle. Makes as much sense or nonsense as Orcs and Humans playing a ball game. |

I know, they are 2 different parallel universes with many similar things. There are too many common elements between the 2 universes to dismiss them as not linked in some way.

Slann existed in 3rd WHFB edition (they had an Aztec-Maya look), they got changed in WHFB 5th edition and became the bloated and fat Slann Mage Priests, servants of the Old Ones and Lizardmen are their minions.

Khorne and Bretonnians exist in BB universe as well.
There are no official rosters, but they are mentioned in the fluff (Bretonnia is on the 3rd edition BB Old World map, a Bretonnian team was called Parravon Penetrators and there was a famous Chaos team called Khorne's Killers).

As far as I know, Nuffle doesn't favour a particular team or race, he's notoriously fickle, so it would not make sense to me. |

Anyway Secret League it's not about made up stuff, Garion collected concepts from the Warhammer lore and the previous BB editions (with the exceptions of the Four Nations e Lumbria rosters). Something like Chaos Lizardman can't find a place in SL. |

Beastman arent limited to goats, they can be based off any animal (though few people are insane enough to conert their entire army into crowman). There could be lizard-based beastman no problem. As we all know beastmen models are only goat based because gw lost runequest licence and decided to utilize sculpts of broos somehow.
Though I think that funnier option would be a faction of arabyan/southland beastman with lizardmen inspired playstyle. pygmy gors instead of skinks, lion headed brawlers instead of saurus and so on. |

Mostly correct. But incorrect on 1 count and sort of incorrect on the 2nd count - Four nations as I said on the previous page is based on official fluff. Lumbria is the only stretch, though this mythical place was meant to be the warhammer Australia, so I used the same methodology as every other part of the warhammer world to create their players. Basing the region's fluff on the real worlds myths. |

You're both right. There was a time where they officially were, and officially weren't. It depends which edition you are reading. |
