Welcome to the season thread!
Just after the 101, it's time for more lessons in bb 102, season CII of the Southern Wastes League.
 Doggies unstoppable. +AG woof, that's what you need, on an 8338 base player, easy as.
Get on the discord if you want to join up, especially if you're Elf-curious or love stunties.
Team Redrafts for the old teams will be posted below, our last manual go through, probably, hopefully? Any unparking teams will be pointed to where they last played if they aren't done yet.
Redrafts are due by Saturday 10th Aug, we'll force through what we can before kickoff otherwise, and if we can't fix it, you'll probably have to park.
Full dates:
- Sat 10th Aug: Redrafts for returning teams due.
- Mon 12th Aug: Kickoff, trial teams must finish redrafting.
- Mon 26th Aug: Round 1 due.
- Mon 2nd Sep: Round 2 due.
- Mon 9th Sep: Round 3 due.
- Mon 16th Sep: Round 4 due.
- Mon 23th Sep: Round 5 due.
- Mon 30th Sep: Round 6 due.
- Mon 7th Oct: Round 7 due, Draft for new teams, Trial starts.
- Wed 9th Oct: Redraft targets and Agents fees notified, if still needed.

Season CII
- Schedule
First round will begin on Monday the 12th of August with a round 7 deadline on the 7th of October! First round is two weeks, rest one week.
- Structure
We will have 1 Premier, 2 Conferences, and 1 big Regional divisions. Or something close to that.
Newer Rules
- New teams are using the site-redrafts, on the new team page. Older teams will still have to do a bit of calculations for now, as the extra player seasons aren't on the site data yet, and 60+ games first season is a few too many.
- No treasury will carry through redraft. If you are under your cap, the SWL administration thank your kind donations, and all teams start each season with zero treasury.
Recently Implemented
- Adjustments to broadcasting bonuses for the big time, now 200k for prem, 100k for confs, and nothing for reggies. Blooder teams at -100k, pay to play.
- Forfeit wins will gain 2 randomly placed MVPs (in the form of 2x4 added SPP), and 1d6 x 10k gold. For end of season tiebreakers, a forfeit win counts as a 1-0 victory.
General Reminders
- Axing
Alert the @Axeman on the discord, if you're having troubles getting your games in by the due dates.
- General
Please be aware that we rely on individual coaches to be active in checking this forum, arranging games against opponents, and in communicating with Admins. The responsibility is on the coach to enquire, not the Admins to inform. Please feel free to ask any questions, any time.
- Communication
Please respect each others time and reply to scheduling chat in a timely manner, even if just to say when you'll reply in full. If you need quick responses, use the pings. If your opponent forgets or goes to sleep or whatever other old man troubles they face, do alert the @Axeman when your pings seem to | /dev/null.
- Discord channels
There is scheduling channels for each division for the season, where coaches can start threads or just chat away therein, even private threads to @ their opponent to have a more private word when you need.
- BB20 Rule Amendments
We will endeavour to maintain our rules as close as possible to those of BB20 in regards to FAQ and Errata changes, taking into account the nature of our league. Rules not yet implemented in the client or website are normally considered sleeping rules, and can be expected to be applied as they are enabled. We are managing manual seasons since forever now.
Our agents fees are 15k per season, ignoring the player's first three post-season redrafts (including the Trial of Blood for those who played it). Player agent fees will be listed in due course lower in this thread, along with redraft budgets.

Redraft budgets for Season CI, and agents fees for the older teams. Team Value lower down must not exceed your cap after adding your agent fees for players you kept. No skills or team Rerolls may be added until after game 1 next season, 11 players minimum.
Note: This includes dead and retired players, it's everyone who played in 4+ seasons as of last season, regardless of their current capacity.

And it's one more season on the old team page for redrafts, at least for returning teams, which, I'll be setting up the teams for that through today.

Right, new team page speeds up admin work a lot, everyone should be cashed up, mng cleared, and so on, ...
Feel free to use the new page for your hacky SWL redraft, link just above the roster, but stay with post-game until you're finished. Bit easier to use, try stuff out.
But, we can't do full site redrafts yet without being able to actually have it work for coaches. Cheers. |
