I don't think you'll ever be able to sum it up. Personally I like both styles of play and would not say that one is better than the other. Certain coaches may be more suited to one style or the other, but they are both enjoyable imo.

Define "stronger". Able to survive to higher TR? Better look at the TR's of the top elven/skaven teams... Better able to win games? Again, look at the elves/skaven... Better able to develop a higher cas ratio? Yep, I'll agree with you there!

STRONGER ENJOYMENT FACTOR???

*silence so profound you can hear cricketts chirping*

*everybody starts screaming at once*

You'll never get the same answer twice from peeps on that one...

Take a look at the Elf teams in Faction 1 and you will have your answer.

yeah, but bashy teams in the lower factions get less games
therefore the elf teams rise higher
with the exception of khemri any team can be played either way if done properly, its just a matter of how you use your players.
And personally i enjoy getting a cas just as much as getting a td

I enjoy getting a cas 2/3 as much as getting a TD.

Whether bashy or agility teams perform better depends entirely on the coach - play to your strengths. (I for example, am reasonably good at playing dark elves, but have never won a game with orcs).

I like casualties Smile

But in all honesty, - it depends on the playing style. Some coaches like elfball, personally I'd rather have a tooth pulled than go through a season of elfball. People will always be willing to play elfball teams, mostly because there isn't anything for them to lose, while about 75% of the basher teams aren't willing to play other bashers, mostly because if a game goes aghainst them, they lose weeks worth the work.

In the end, I find Basher teams much more enjoyable, but also much more risky.

Show me a high-ranking Elf or Wood Elf team, and I will show you a cherry-picker.

...says somebody whon nearly has only bashy teams. We already had this discussion, but playing with bashy teams vs low av teams is more cherry-picking than playing not with your elfes vs a destroyer team...

I'm not allowed to play against any elf teams any longer? *mind boggles*

I play against an assortment of teams, with less elf teams than my share.

I just said this is context of high-level survivability. Someone claimed elves have it. They don't, unless they cherry-pick badly (for Elves and Wood Elves; Dark Elves in particular have a decent staying power).

It's like claiming Goblins are a good long-term team... provided you play only against Halflings. (Note: hyperbole)

And yes, I tend to play bashy teams for two reasons:

1. It's more fun and challenging.

2. You don't have to be ashamed of yourself for rampant cherry-picking.

I play Dark Elves in Faction, because it seems like the key to Faction is getting your matches in; good luck with Dwarves and Khemri.

Orcs are challenging to play? Heh, that's a good one.

If you want a challenge; try and adopt a bashy style of play with Skaven.

THAT's a challenge. (if you play bashers that is, vs elves not all that tough)

Seen that before, was hilarious watching rats dish out 7+ cas to dwarves , on a regular basis ^^

Bashy Teams are stronger - in the long term.
What if a wood elf team plays in a league of 8 teams, where the other 7 teams are only chaos - and all 7 have claws and or mighty blow?
I'm sure that the elf team will only be able to play 8-10 games, then it's over. It has to retire. Agility teams can only survive because not everyone wants to be the coach of a bashy team. The system is unbalanced.

Eg: show me one elf or skaven team, that plays !only! against orcs, khemri or chaos and is still high tr or even able to put up 11 players each game.
