Who cares about tactics when your opponent rolls only 1s and skullz? Just march forward and kick everyone's head who gets in your way! Or if you can't roll a 2+ for a gfi with reroll to equalize, you'll lose. Image

Don't try to explain to yourselves that this is not a gambling game! Wink

Hmm... I forgot one special factor which is present only in fumbbl. I should ask Saruman The White about what makes a good coach. Laughing

a note back to the halfling offened coaches i am one of them!

I am deeply annoyed, my halflings lost 2 nil in there last game but managed to do some seriouse damage, but they were unbeaten!

but i am happy in knowing that no team has beat them and survived (the game i lost he retired his team)

Haha halflings for the cup!

I don't know who you've been playing, but I wanna play them. How many times have you played an opponent that rolls only 1's and skulls? I've never played one. A well coached team will minimize dice rolls that aren't in their favor thereby taking a lot of the luck out of the equation. Sure, there is still some luck involved, but it's not the most important thing to have.

Luck equalizes over time. Good coaching will give wins consistently.

Wohoo! We don´t follow Nuffles path to damnation! We walk our own.

There is a chance for flings to succeed. But in reality that chance ain´t as big as for other teams.

I've found in a few games recently I've won and lost games due to luck. I'd like to think I'm a good coach bu when people get awesome luck and I get average/poor luck I really struggle to anything outta the game. I hate loosing to luck but sometimes winning with luck isnt so great. My last game as an example, I was getting great luck so I played it really lazy and my opponent pushed me to the end, scoring with 9 players and forcing me to score in 3 turns. He played better , but I got luckier. Sometimes thats the game.

But as Origami said, the luck will always even out in the end. I just gotta learn to winge a bit less when my luck is aweful! Very Happy

Very true.

Indeed. But if you always play lazy and he always plays to death, after 200 games or so he will have a much higher winning record than yours. That's where luck fails to leave its mark... in the long run.

Oh of course JanMattys, but I rarely do this. I usually play a very concentrated game. Smile

I thougt it was an easily understandable example. Well, I was wrong.

Then I ask you a question: If two equally skilled coaches meet in a game, which will win?

maybe the one with the best team perhaps.

Even though i think skill is more importent then luck, that dosent mean luck dosent matter at all, i played a CD team once were i put both hes Bulls in BH in the first 2 turns with normal blocks ofcourse that has a mayor effect on the match
