Why doesn't anyone respect the Bears? They destroyed the Panthers in the regular season...even with Steve Smith having a record game. Let's have a look at these teams currently, shall we.
The Bears defense is healthy and ready to go, they've been consistant all year and even with a horrible offense they've won about half the games they've played against playoff teams. Now they have a better passing QB in Grossman (he isn't much better than Orton, he plays like Orton does on good days...but with the defense they have it's usually enough to win games). As well as a slightly greater passing threat opens up the running game some.
The Panthers have a solid defense and are on a hot streak. What new OL have they gotten to prevent the bear's front four from getting 8 sacks again? The Giants had a horrible game defensively against the Panthers (couldn't tackle anyone and put zero pressure on Delhomme) and they still only managed 23 pts.
The Bears gave up over 20 pts to 2 teams this year (not going to count the Vikings cause no one was playing). The steelers dominated the scrimmage and Bettis ran over the defensive player of the year. The Bengals had a handful of ints from Orton and a great offense. The Panthers have the ability to do neither.
The Panthers will win if they break a couple big plays and lose if they don't. The Bears have this game to lose. |

also picking pats over broncos (game is only a few minutes into it now, 0-0 still...)
also, i have an unpopular pick - steelers over colts. i wish i had money to put on it. good odds on that one.
otherwise, you've got some good picks. |

Ah Well...they did better than I recall them doing for quite some years. Im an Aussie so not really a fan.... picked the skins back in the late 80s when I decided I needed a team for every sport going. A mate was a Buffalo fan so there was some early joy in the choosing of this team. Am I wrong or have they been celler dwellers for years now. I'll have to take your word for the fact the Skins have dumb ass fans who predict immense things after one game... sounds like St George fans over here. Meh Its just nice to see them in the playoffs.. actually watched quite a few of their games this season.. hmm and they never lost when I did.... rats if only Fox was showing it today Ok seriously though the Colts should win it eh? Even downunder we heard about their winning ways? |

I tell you why the bears get no respect...... no offense. They played in the weak NFC north and got to play the NFC South. There are a total of 2 decent QBs they faced (Delhome and Vick). Now say what you will about that blowout of Carolina, i don't see the game going down like that again. In a close game, look for the quarter back with playoff experience (Delhome is something like 5-1). Either way, Peyton or Brady will expose that defense. I would like to see the bears make it to the superbowl but i think Carolina is a tough test.
As for Grossman......
Rex Grossman comp:20 att: 39 Yards: 259 Comp %: 51.3 Yards Ave: 6.64 Points: 54 TD: 1 TD%: 2.6 INT: 2 INT%: 5.1 Sack: 1 Yards: 9 QB Rating: 59.7
Dilfer was better

10-3 Bronco's at the end of the half... things went downhill for the pats at the end of the 2nd with two fumbles that both turned into scores. |

Seattle needs sunshine and shadow needs a serious beat down
By the way... Brady to Champ Bailey for a 100 yard int return to the 1 yard line! Sorry New England and Denver... now Indy wins it all.

Officials give the game to Denver with imaginary pass interference calls. |
